Is it my Guide

Its funny we have been talking about guides a lot this week, and I do wonder if subconsciously this is affecting me. Its just that I have been so lucky this week, I have had a fantastic dream, which I have found to be so uplifting, and exciting. I feel a bit greedy to expect any more. I am worried that this could be projection on my part. But I honestly swear when I went to bed I was not even thinking about guides..lol

I got into bed, and after talking for a while to my partner, snuggled down to get comfy. I had put my Amethyst crystal under my pillow. I also have been wearing my Rose Quartz heart pendent, as I feel my heart chakra has been a bit too overactive just lately..

Anyway, I was lying there thinking about the day, and also thinking about the word integrity, and what it means to me. When completely out of no where, I see this face. This is where I feel a bit embarrassed, because, it seems the whole world and his wife has a native American guide...

His face was incredible vivid, his features were strong not handsome but very distinctive, slightly hooked nose. His hair was long and dark, side parting, and he did not look like any picture I have seen of a Native American Indian, not in a film I have seen either. I loved dances with wolves, and yes, you do have to ask yourself, is this a face you have seen before. I opened my eyes, and then shut them again, and his face was still there, very clear. Bearing in mind, I was not asleep, I had only just settled. I asked him if he had a name, and to begin with, nothing, then I heard the name Raven...I asked mentally, is that Raven, are u sure its Raven, and it came to me, His hair is as black as a Raven's wing, his name is Raven.

This guy may not be my guide, he could actually be a passing spirit, or maybe a spirit who wants to work with me in healing, I don't know. Any feedback from anyone who picks up anything intuitively about this, would be most welcome.

Well Im not expert but I'd say there is a strong possiblity that Raven is your guide. Ask for confirmation and wait and see what you get. I did this with white feather and 2 days on the trot (Or near abouts) I recieved 2 white feathers both at different places. Let us know,xxx

oh Karen, how exciting for you!! I have never had an experience like that at all, although a friend of mine has, she saw an Indian woman, not red indian, but Indian as in India...she says that was her guide. I have never seen mine, although I know his name is Michael and he is always with me. I have never seen a clear face as you have. It is funny, you know, I visited Niagara Falls and saw real red indians, and as you describe, their hair is almost invariably jet black. I think they were a people far beyond our ken, and they were incredibly intuitive and intelligent and lived in very close harmony with nature, appeasing spirits, and living off the land. The white settlers have much to answer for when they stole their land. If you ever get a chance, try to get ahold of a book known as The Big Red Indian Book (or something like that) it is huge, and absolutely choc-full of amazing lore of all the different tribes. I ordered it some years ago and it cost me nearly £6 in ILL postage (inter library loan) as it is so rare and sought after. It is wonderful.

Have you never talked with or spoken to your guides before? I seem to have had loads of communication with my guide, but never seen him. Wow, how incredible for you! You are right about the fact that you are in a state not expecting anything when things come to you!!

ps I have a rose quartz heart pendant too and was told by a friend that I should wear it more often...does it calm down your emotions?

Hi Lizzie,

Yes, Rose Quartz is very good for calming the heart chakra area. Its a stone which I absolutely love anyway. Its also worn for its calming and alround healing properties, but especially for the emotions and love.

I am treading carefully about Raven, as I know and Leon has pointed it out to me, that the Raven is a symbol for death. So who knows, it may be a sign, or warning of something. Either a real death, or maybe a death to my old way of life perhaps. I don't know, time will tell.

I have always wanted to communicate with my guides, and often wondered if I had any, as never was anything forthcoming. Now things are moving so quickly, I am being wary and careful.

Your book sounds wonderful, maybe there is something in there, that may be pertinent, about Raven. Would you look for me, even if its just about the symbology of the bird.

I have looked up Power Animals on a Native American symbology site. Apparently, Raven represents Self Knowledge, Courage and Introspection. Not as bad as I thought.

Hi Karen, it was a book I borrowed from the library, unfortunately I dont own it!

I think the decisive factor here is that you saw a clear face and heard the name. I dont think the face would mean anything BUT a guide! I love the native American symbol - self knowledge courage and introspection sounds about right for where you are at right now, doesnt it?

Yep I'd agree on that too lizzie. Actually I picked out a card for you hun (Karen) and it was quite interesting. It says that a deceased loved one (your guide?) is telling you that he loves you very much & not to worry) I wouldn't be surprised if you shared a lifetime with this guide in another life & he's now here to guide, heal & advice you. The feeling that Im getting here goes together with the card. Hope this helps.

When I was out today, I bought a really beautiful book, called Native American power animals. It was lovely to find lots of things about about the Raven, as when searching on google, it wasn't easy. There is loads of stuff in it obviously about lots of different animals. So if there is any one animal you two have always been drawn to and you want to know a bit more about them, and their symbology, I would love to share the info with you both. If, its ok to quote from this book?

Hey Zanna, it would be lovely wouldn't it, if he is my guide, and has been with me before. I could do with a good man around..lol
Also I want someone to help guide and inspire me, not put me down and have no faith in me.

amazing stuff - I am nuts about owls, you know, Karen. I collect them and have tons of them and have always been drawn by their association with wisdom and their incredible liquid big eyes so still and wise. I wonder what they mean in native american symbology?

to be sure it is a guide the usual recommendation is that 2 different mediums should tell you about him at different times or some similar ratification

One tip though (If the organ is out of tune when you sing, then myme) Lol, I didn't get confirmation from any meduims with my guide & got him to give me confirmation & then I dreamt about him, I followed my instinct, which has never let me down. (yet!). I always ask that any spirit that wants to speak to me then they must step foward in The divine light I repeat this 3 times, God Bless babe.xxx

Keynote The Mystery of Magic, Omens, Silent Wisdom and Visions in the Night. Cycle of Power:- Nocturnal - Year round.

No bird has as much myth and mystery surrounding it than the owl. Most perceptions of it are confused. It is not unusual to get contrary opinions of the owl. It has an ancient aura of mystery about it. Part of this is because it is a nocturnal bird, and night time has always seemed mysterious to humans.

The Owl is the symbol of the feminine, the moon, and the night. It has been called a cat with wings. It is believed to have great healing powers, both in North America and on other continents. Because of its association with the moon, it has ties to fertility and seduction, for the moon is the arouser of men and owls. The owl is the bird of magic and darkness, of prophecy and wisdom.

To the Ancient Greeks, the owl was associated with the goddess Athena and it was a symbol of higher wisdom. It was the guardian of the Acropolis. To the early Christian Gnostics it is associated with Lilith, the first wife of Adam, who refused to be submissive to him. To the Pawnee it was a symbol of protection. To the Oijbwa, it was a symbol of evil and death. To the Pueblo, it was associated with the skeleton man, the god of death, but who was also a spirit of fertility. Owl medicine is symbolically associated Clairvoyance and Astral Projection, and magic, both black and white.

The owl is a bird of the night, and the night has long been a symbol of the darkness within - the place in which humans hide their secrets. The owl has great vision and hearing. The yellow colouring of the eyes is very symbolic. It makes the eyes much more expressive, it hints at the light of the sun alive in the dark of the night.The sun lives through the owl at night. Meditations on this alone will reveal much about the magic of the owl in your life.

One who works with owl medicine will be able to see and hear what others try to hide. You will detect hidden subtleties. This may make people feel uncomfortable around you because they know they cannot hide things from you. Owl people have the unique ability to see into the darkness of others souls and life. This can be scary to most people. The vision and hearing capabilities have links to the gifts of clairvoyance and clairaudience as well.

oh wow, Karen, how incredible. That so describes my feelings of the detection of hidden subtleties...I always know what people mean, when they say one thing and mean another, if that makes sense. I detect hidden subtleties in people's moods, and what lies behind their words. I love the idea of sun shining and being alive in the darkness at night...that is an incredible thought. I will meditate on that. It certainly does give me food for thought. Wow, I knew there was something amazing about them!

Hi,

I believe Raven is one of your guides. I dont think he has always been around, I think he was just making himself known to you as he was joining your 'team' of spirit workers (as I like to call them!) at this point upon your pathway.

It doesnt mean he will always be part of your team but he has joined for this part of your journey. (You probably know that already!)

I think that when guidance join our 'team' not only will they help you on your pathway, but they also learn something from working with us. I believe our guidance are continuing to learn, grow and evolve also.

Its nice to know that we are all helping each other in some way, even our guidance!!

So next time we are upset or confused upon our pathway, I think it would be nice for us to console ourselves with the thought 'at least myself and my team are learning from this!' ha ha. Maybe we wont feel quite so bad.
