I've just replied an email from my friend who also has had IBS, like me, and would like to share it here. If you don't know what IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is about, you can skip this post.
Anyway, readers discretion advised. I'm not a doctor, just a patient who just did my personal research and had direct experiences after trying it to myself "many times".
As far as I did my research, "IBS is not curable. There is no medicine that you can take that will stop IBS."
Yes, the worst parts are stopping drinking coffee and stopped eating whole wheat bread!
And the most important thing is trying to eat less (but eat often instead). After you finish eating 30-60 minutes, you will always feel pain in your bowel, which is normal for IBS as it's too sensitive to food. Lying down for a while will really ease the pain. And I've found that acupressure is really helpful. (photos).
However, you have to believe in what you are doing. If not, it might not work. Some researchers found that the patients felt that their pain decrease even before the needles were inserted. Or you already felt better on the way to see your dentist because of your had toothache.
Take care.
