Last week, I was going to buy something (a second hand stuff) before I got the following warning from my favorite fortune cookie
"Surfeit of Increase. This one seeks increase without end; he is someone whose heart and mind do not remain fixed on anything. Such insatiable desires no one can provide for. He sings alone, and no one else joins in, for 'his are self-serving words.'"
So, I had to ask myself again if it was useful. The answer was yes. But was it necessary? Hmm...It might not. My thoughts were so roundabout. I told myself many times I might not have this opportunity like this again. And I even told myself it was okay, if it turned out that I just wasted my money on this, as I could learn from my mistake.
It was funny (in fact, it was not) to see how my thoughts worked. Anyway, it took me a very very long time to finally decide NOT to buy it.

Hi Monty
I go thru same back/forth about decisions at times... knowing most of times I could live without it (whatever IT is),, but then again having the book or lets say art supply or something could turn out to be useful... or should I purchase and use theses healthy herbs, homeopathic medicines, take a workshop on-line etc. etc etc,,
sometimes but not always I take out my pendulum, and try to center in my higher self via meditation and ask question .... should I buy this or that. or do I need this or that.
I am always amazed have seemingly correct the answer I get for myself... sometimes it says clearly yes or no..even if I desired something strongly.
probably the trust factor in asking has something to do with it,,,, but trust factor came from getting answer which seemed right at moment and even more so from a distance of time.

Hi Charlie, So agree. Though I never tried pendulum, but I know it's one of the ways to communicate with your unconscious. And when it has something to do with spirituality, it's called our higher selves
I was just kidding about fortune cookie. In fact, it was my I Ching (or book of changes). I have more than 60 versions of its (English) translations and have consulted it 40 years or so. I have no doubt about its advice. Still, sometimes it's really hard to do what it says and don't do what I want. :-) Do you still paint? You haven't posted your new paintings/drawings here for a long while.

hi Monty (Dong),
do you do use the I Ching with coins or yarrow stalks? Haven't used I Ching in many years but use to once in a while.
yes, I do still draw or paint once in a while... but not easy to post art work here in forum like it was years ago.
so stopped trying
I wonder how Cyberangel and Kaz are doing.

Hi Charlie,
I had used three coins for so many years. But in the past 20 years or so, I didn't need them anymore. I combined Yang Hsiung (Yang Xiong-53 BCE–18 CE)'s Tai xuan (The Great Dark Mystery or The Canon of Supreme Mystery, which is the unique version of I Ching, connecting each herxgram to each month of the year) with my very long time personal notes. First, I hesitated and wonders whether it was a right way. How could our upcoming outcomes are that fix? Still, if I get a warning that I should take my umbrella with me when the rainy season comes, shouldn't I listen to it? Could say that I've opened I Ching randomly (sure, before doing that I have to meditate first) for decades now. And to communicate with our unconsciousness doesn't follow a normal rule.
P.S. I've found this absolutely "free" site is good. And I post my favorite Monet's "Woman with a Parasol – Madame Monet and Her Son" (which I already downloaded it on my computer). After uploading it on that site, then copy and paste the "direct link" here.
