I had a real troubling dream last night.
I was waiting for service in a shop and they were ages and really so slow and I could feel my frustrations building. I was waiting at least 20mins in my dream and everyone seemed to be served except me.
When I finally got served...I paid and was waiting and waiting for the lady to return with my item. The next scene the shop environment had changed to a busy bar and I had lots of bags etc with me. I remember I was searching for this lady because I wanted my item.
3 men who were sat at the bar said they think they saw her in the middle bar. So I left my bags and my hand bag down because they were heavy and asked the men would they mind keeping an eye on them as I went to find the lady.
I immediately knew I had made a mistake trusting the men with my personal belongings and I ran through the busy packed 3 bars to hurry back to my bag because I thought my car keys, phone and a prescription with my address is in it.
when I returned the 3 men had gone and also my bag. I had no money or phone to ring my husband. I was also so far away from home and I was in such a panic. I knew my car was safe but I was frustrated because I had no keys to get into it or to drive home.
I woke up in a panic that these stranger's had my address...more than my belongings...it took me ages to shake off that feeling.
Does anyone know what this dream means?
Thanks
Angel

Dreams are often emotions acted out with almost irrelevant details. What you see is like seeing Jesus or Archangel Micheal - something that just appeals to you. Wings and halos and nothing scary. . But now we get into circumstances. If you go into a hospital, as I know you did, they always advise to NOT wear rings and expensive watches as they sometimes "disappear". Being sick or comatose makes you very vulnerable.
The fact you could not even call for help in the dream only reinforces the sense of abandonment.
I think and hope the dream was just a moment of doubt. The price of being human and depending on fellow humans. Well you might be extra careful about telephones calls that might be scams ect. Any upcoming business deals.

Angel...
hmm interesting dream... what comes to me is that some parts of you or your outer life seems to be or feels like it has been taken away from your personality... Your illness and the state of the world itself with covid and stuff has taken away some ways you had got use to living your life, perhaps.
But at same time you were able to put down your heavy packages you have been carrying around with you... So it gives you possibility or opportunity to make a kind of new start in some areas of your life. If you can let your self see that.
Sometimes when we want something and our ego doesn't get it right away it gives one an opportunity to see things in new light,,, But it is up to you how to deal with the frustration of not getting things immediately. Or healing as quickly as your would like to. Somethings take time to manifest or heal.
just my two cents, peace ace

Dear Gruntal and Ace,
Many many thanks for each of your insights on my dream. I think I can relate to what you have both said and each rings a certain truth in your interpretations.
While I have had a lot of dreams about hospital, operations etc. They have all been very obvious in the dreams and needed little to no interpretation upon waking, but perhaps I need to delve deeper into behind the subconscious to heal myself there also.
I certainly did feel at the time that my whole world had shifted...changed. The 3 men in my dream perhaps were the 2 surgeons and the Dr who were over me with the 2nd operation. They certainly did lift that heavy load/weight I was feeling, with everything going on around me.
I also wonder because I was mostly in and out of consciousness and a lot of what was happening to me really felt like an outer body experience that perhaps only now my subconscious is starting to deal with it. I have no idea.
I have had lots and lots of frustrating dreams of trying to leave the hospital and I can’t find the exit or I’m going around in circles...to the point I am running through operation theaters to try and get out. I often wake up out of breath and sweating.
Anyway I will take on board what you have both said and see what else my dreams reveal.
Thank you both again, it really is great to have another person or two to go over it with, it really helps you to see it from a different angle. Sometimes it’s hard for the dreamer to detach from the dream and especially the feelings within the dream in order to see further, so it really helps to have another one or two perceptions.
Thank you both for taking the time to read and post a reply.

Just a quick note: some years ago my mother had to be given morphine temporarily in the hospital and it did not improve her mental state; trusted friends and doctors were seen an demons. Paranoia can be very real to one sometimes in a state of confusion or sickness.

I agree with George.. that some dreams are generated from our physical/etheric and things we are doing when we are awake... Having to take drugs /having a big meal before sleeping etc may all be generators for dream activity at times etc.
But other dreams, as of Jungian understanding dreams are not to be taken literally but point to symbolic intent relating to our psyche trying to tell our personalty self something.. it is giving us a message if one can read the meaning behind the symbols.
In those type of dreams we are all the characters in the dream , and each person and activity in the dream are basically symbols from our higher self sending us messages to our sleeping personalty. But it is reading the symbols for "oneself" which is the difficult learning process ... so even the same activity in two different dreams by two different people,,, has to be understood a bit differently at times.
then the last classification for some dreams is that they may be true astral experiences on that level of consciousness.
just my two cents

Dear Gruntal and Ace
Thank you both for again for your insights and replies to my dream.
During my time in hospital they discovered a certain drug used in the anesthesia did not agree with me in the 2nd operation. I did suffer some side effects afterwards but they were short lived and I was well monitored. I was totally unaware at the time because I was so out of it. Perhaps my subconscious is reminding me through my dreams...I have no idea.
A few nights ago, I dreamt again of being in a hospital, but the dream started out in a big supermarket with my family, and I got separated from them and ended up in the car park and once again it was a frustrating dream where I couldn’t get past people in the car park to get back into the store. I was worried my family would be worried where I was and I had no way of contacting them.
Then in the next scene I’m back in the hospital free to go but unable to get out. Every door and corner just brings me back again over and over...and no matter how fast I run I am moving so slowly like slow motion, it’s extremely frustrating. I eventually end up having to go through a bar to get out, it is so strange, to have a bar in my dream as I am not a big drinker in real life and very rare we would go out drinking especially to a bar, but yet twice a store and a bar have both appeared in the same dream as the hospital. I always start off in a store, end up in a hospital trying to leave but end up escaping through a bar...that’s the gist of it.
I have no idea how to interpret this because I’m just too close to the dream and am unable to detach from the vividness of it to see past it all and connect to what it is meaning behind the imagery within. There is no medication that I am currently on that have any known side effects with dreams as I have asked my dr. I don’t eat before bed and only have water after 8pm to take my night medication.
For this dream to keep repeating there is clearly something I need to figure out in it. And although the scenes and people are different in the dreams, the gist is always the same...starting in a store, ending in a hospital and finally only escaping through a bar (none of that has any meaning to me in real life apart from the hospital bit, which I did wonder will I ever leave the place, and was confined to my bed throughout the stay and obviously being separated from my family, they weren't allowed in to even visit me because of covid restrictions, so I can understand the separation/frustration in the dream) but the store and especially the bar bit has me completely bewildered!
Anyway thanks again for your time, replies and interpretations.

Dear Angel,
you said - "starting in a store, ending in a hospital and finally only escaping through a bar (none of that has any meaning to me in real life apart from the hospital bit"
my suggestion to to ask yourself what can these different images mean for you symbolically .. not totally seeing them as physical happening.
By symbolically I mean let's say - a store is where you buy things, something you may be lacking and feel you need. Any ideas Angel what a store symbolically represents for you?
escaping through a bar is interesting because a bar has "spirits" (another name for alcohol) symbolically connected with it,,, escaping through spiritual understanding?
just my two cents.

Dear Ace
Once again thank you for your reply and your thoughts on this. I am so glad that you can see more than I can and I think the “Spirits” analogy is quite a good one. I'm trying to think about what Kaz used to say about dreams, was it that all buildings in them are ourselves? Or was that people? I will definitely wait and see if I have another dream and see what else it reveals or repeats.
I will also try your suggestion on trying to look at these places more symbolically.
Thanks again my friend
