Virtual Horizons
It’s new but also old
abandoning limitations of distance
we meet in rooms of zoom
greeting and meeting in shared consciousness
with our shared voices, minds and hearts.
As it progresses
we realize we are still together
able to share, able to care
learning to do so
in new ways
making new spaces
in our awareness
with family, friends and groups
closely encircling our relationships.
Learning to hold, to heal
learning that place and space
are relative constructs
we connect with compassion,
verbal interactions and dialogue
touching new ground
while creating a new earth.
How it will all shape out
over time
is still unknown
but so much of life
these days
is learning to embrace
masked or unmasked
the unknown present
and a emerging presence.
