Looking for a Key
We live in self-made prisons half asleep conditioned by our habits repeated desires and beliefs using our five senses to try to make sense of what is happening and what is not happening.
At times is seems senseless doing the same patterns, same dance same sufferings, same rewards life at times calls for an upgrade of awareness an upgrade of compassion both inwardly and outwardly- upgrading our letting go of what no longer works what no longer brings that newness and a dawning joy.
Like nature we are always changing, with the seasons with each moment with each interaction with each struggle with each victory – standing alive connected to the eternal even if blindly in the here and now.

some times all you can do is throw up your hands and lament: "this isn't the right time and place for me". just because you see the light doesn't mean you're ready to own it. I like to think they let me out of prison for good behavior but I am still on parole. And very defensive. I just get embarrassed if it gets too obvious ....

Thank you for your great poem Charlie it signs the strenght of the heart. It is really very important to grow the own perception and being able to switch it, widen it. In the same way as one takes up new clothing every day. Our perception is always in comparison interaction with nature. So we can easy see once our internal state is cooperating in a bigger network that we would always wish to choose. Empathy is a huge motor to expand the consciousness. Also curiosity remains a necessary tool to reach new states and patterns of thinking. Being full filled with the own movement and courage to evolve is what makes happy for a long period of time.
