Has anyone here read the Gospel of Thomas from the Nag Hammadi library, I'd be interested in hearing different views on the verses.
(1)
And he said,
Whoever discovers what these sayings mean
will not taste death.
No1, What does it mean to not taste death? He can't be talking of physical death, is it saying that if we grasp the meaning of these verses we will become enlightened and upon the death of the physical body our consciousness will seamlessly carry on into a higher dimension.
All view points welcome.

HI Keter... just my two cents. i think you have the overall theme of what is meant to a degree. There are people who have visited other levels of consciousness and experienced initiation in consciousness of the death and after death states of consciousness.. while still "alive". When spiritually awakened this consciousness is just part of their natural awareness via true clairvoyant abilities.
By "mean" in the saying to me means one has truly experienced it in consciousness.

HI Ace,
Yes its not through a mental understanding that we come to know, it's through experience that we truly discover.
A man can read as many books as he likes on what a lemon tastes like but he wont have a true grasp unless he tastes one.
Thanks for your insight. Clive.

Jesus was a nonduality teacher. That is the main reason a lot of what he taught was not understood. To make the shift to nonduality consciousness reconnects us to the spiritual as we were always meant to be. We will know that we are already immortal. When I have crossed the viel to the other side I had to face all of the fears that I myself had created while I was in duality consciousness. Crossing that viel was the sting of death to me. Doing my personal work to end all of my inner conflict allows the kundalini energy to rise in me. This energy helps both halves of my brain to work together as one. This reconnects me to the other side and opens up the spiritual gifts. When I enter into nonduality consciousness all of the Jesus teaching make perfect sense to me. It is a process of changing how I think. And in some ways it is not thinking at all. Focus of intent allows the knowing.
