It seems this Winter Solstice Dec 21, 2017 (one of the Four important spiritual points of the of the Sun's journey around the Zodiac) with be exactly conjunct the transiting planet of Saturn.
All planets and there energy have both positive and sometime more challenging manifestations. Saturn has many negative manifestations or possibilities or lets say causes some interesting tests to manifest as a way of teaching us at times.
Things like possible sufferings, limitations and delays, depressive states of mind and emotions are all correlated with Saturn. Saturn is called the great Teacher. Many times when people go through Saturnian hardships it give us practical end results in a deep learnt experience... the going through the process can sometimes be a painful one at different levels of people's lives.
Saturn does have positive practical intimations also... learning to deal with the Earth and practical earthy concerns and disciplines of life. Strengthening one's resolve to do something in their life etc.
Not totally sure what the ramifications if any of this transit will be... but was wondering if anyone had any insights on it?

Hi Ace, Thank you for a very interesting post on the transitioning of Saturn. It is a time of the year in general I think that can put people under pressure. Either from the practical tasks associated with Christmas, to the financial demands it makes on many people. On another level, emotionally, it can bring to the surface all kinds of feelings in connection to Christmas and the holidays can't it. Much as I love Christmas, I know it is a time when people are thrown together in a way they are not used too. Perhaps inflaming an already tense situation or relationship. Spending time with people we don't see from one year to the next. Or close proximity bringing to a head issues that are for the most part ignored. Then there are those who are painfully aware of the absence of loved ones, or are estranged from family. I will let you know if anything comes to the surface Ace Thank you again for sharing. Love and light Kaz

Thanks Kaz... this is also a start of a new cycle of Saturn in it's natural placement ( it's rulership) of Capricorn for the next 2 1/2 to 3 years. Capricorn is about the Physical Earth and Gaia.. ecology and really finding more practical ways of living on the planet. At times learning to live thru limitation and possible hardships and suffering.
The right use of it's Karmic forces ( Saturn is said to rule the energy of Karma). Responsibility, discipline and discernment are all Saturn in Capricorn lessons and manifestations also.

This conjunction falls in my second house exactly square my natal mars and I am totally dreading it. Mars sits in the 4th and I am having so many problems with my house at the moment anyway - uranus is transiting and touching my 6 planet t-square which has sun and moon involved, as well as natal uranus, jupiter, neptune and chiron, so goodness knows what may happen next. This is one of those times when I wish I had never heard of astrology, so didn't have the ability to see upcoming potential problems

HI Hera ....I agree Hera.. for some that sometimes learning to see the "Potentials" can be worse IF one hasn't yet learned yet to detach a bit when seeing transiting aspects. Because sometimes each transit aspect has multiple applications and ways of manifesting even if troubling aspect. Try not to get fixated on the worse possible outcome is a discernment and wonderful astrological learning tool.
With Saturn we only get the lessons we need... our ego may not like them at times... but seen from higher perspective we realize it was not just random what happens to us. Or someone judging and giving out harsh lessons at times. Nothing happens in a vacuum... except it can pick up our trash at times ( joke).
I like to watch aspects... being aware of possible outcomes.. and if I can use their energy to what it is and what it may be teaching me. Try not to preordain the results -- sometimes that just adds thought forms ( especially challenging ones) to the energy of the aspect one is experiencing. Sometimes learning the lesson of "this to shall pass" when going through a difficult lesson - is the lesson we need to learn.
Just my two cents... ignore if it doesn't ring true at all for you, Hera.
peace ace

Your words reflect what I have been telling myself Ace, I can be my own worst enemy sometimes imagining - nay, catastrophising lol - possible events that reflect the planetary energies involved, while knowing that I Chose this path and whatever happens is for a reason, a learning curve.
Studying evolutionary astrology has helped a little in that respect and now I must learn to walk through events as they occur and not anticipate problems which may oy may not manifest.
Thanks so much for your wise words.

Hi Hera... just to follow up... how are you doing so far with the Saturn in Capricorn and those aspects you were having?
My meditations seem to be been more organized since Saturn moved into Capricorn... that wouldn't have been my guess of outcome but what I am finding so far.
Hera,, you said you were into Esoteric Astrology -- Did you ever get into the Connection of the 12 Days of Christmas related to the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Each day an energy activation of one Particular sign in sequence starting Dec 26 as Aries and moving one sign each day until getting to Pisces on Jan 6th. New Year's Eve stands at point of Libra.. balancing the two half's.
Today is the Gemini day... so that's why I am writing you..
Peace...Aceofcups
