Today i found out i have borrelia. Not a big deal perhaps since it can be treated... but it reminded me of some information i came across some time ago about how God supposedly communicates with all people. In this case an "indirect" form of communication which is the most common form of communication with God that everyone appears to have on a daily basis.
What kind of "indirect" communication do you have/or have had with God? please share below and please share your thoughts on why you think people get sick in the first place... is it only biological? and what is the purpose with diseases (if any)?

HI Multi.. sorry to hear about your Borrelia. What kind? I have chronic Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease) for a number of years (in remission now) but it wrecked havoc in my life and others around where I live for many years.
I think we are given different types of "messages" all the time... by what life brings us, how we handle them etc etc. How we handle relationships and communication with others. The people and situations we attract to us. The more we are attuned to the Higher within ourselves the clearer the messages about our life becomes - hopefully.
Our Karmic patterns we are living to me are all messages... if we have the true intuitive connection and insight to get what they are trying to tell us.
Learning to read the messages is the grand work of living.

Hi Multidimensional,
I come from a spiritual tradition that doesn't call god, god but tao, dharma, buddha nature, one taste, primordial awareness etc. Anyway, I think all point to the same spiritual meaning, the one. or god. I've studied I Ching (Yijing, Zhouyi or The book of changes) for more than 34 years. It (I ching) have taught me that when something happened, I also had to look to something else that was hapening along with it. Yes, indirect communication, right? For example, after I read your post and I coincidentally come across this quote:
The darkness of mind and mental factors does not allow the sun of primordial knowing to be seen. But when the skylight of primordial knowing opens revealing open awareness in all its nakedness, the darkness of mind and mental factors dissipates and the basic nature of primordial knowing in its original purity envelopes all.
-Longchenpa (1308–1364), a major teacher in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism And this reminds me of some other quotes:
We look at it, and we do not see it, and we name it 'the Equable.' We listen to it, and we do not hear it, and we name it 'the Inaudible.' We try to grasp it, and do not get hold of it, and we name it 'the Subtle.' With these three qualities, it cannot be made the subject of description; and hence we blend them together and obtain The One...
Always without desire we must be found, If its deep mystery we would sound; But if desire always within us be, Its outer fringe is all that we shall see.
-Tao Te Ching by Lao-tzu (James Legge, Translator)
And another version of it:
Ever desireless, one can see the mystery. Ever desiring, one sees the manifestations. These two spring from the same source but differ in name; this appears as darkness. Darkness within darkness. The gate to all mystery.
-Translated by Gia-Fu Feng and Jane English

Well when i was an atheist i used to hate god ,nothing that bad or good happened. When started believing in god then also nothing good or bad happened. When i started loving god , accepting everything which happened or will happen , then i really started having a good time. It is so relieving to be calm in the situation where you must be angry. I just try to be calm and happy without asking or expecting anything from god . And the day goes so well. I think god is not somewhere up there neither here nor in the hell. God is everywhere. I don't think it would do anything good if you know the future because you will be interrupting the course or the 'plan' of nature . Of course God did told Noah about the flood and to make an ark but it was not for Noah's betterment . It was for the survival of human races. In Bhagwad Gita , Lord Krishna has said that if you accept both good and bad things in your life then you already close to me.(srry cant remember the exact verse) Well i personally talk to God(or sometimes myself) like "yes ! we did our assignment We did it!".Its really fun because i don't talk that much with anybody else. I have observed that when i need something and i accept that its okay that i haven't got it then after some time somehow i get it without asking. For example , i was waiting for the bus (public bus) to come and that specific bus which takes me directly to the college comes once in every two hours. So it was sure that i would have to wait for 2 hours for the bus .But then a friend (who was riding a bike) came and gave me a ride to the college. It was really cool as if something didn't wanted me to be late for college. So I suppose this is an indirect form of communication too? peace
