Self Awareness is having a clear perception of your personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and emotions. Self Awareness allows you to understand other people, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in the moment.
As you develop self awareness you are able to make changes in the thoughts and interpretations you make in your mind. Changing the interpretations in your mind allows you to change your emotions. Self awareness is one of the attributes of Emotional Intelligence and an important factor in personal development and spiritual growth.
Having awareness creates the opportunity to make changes in behavior and beliefs. Do you believe that you are Self Aware, and to what degree?

Self awareness should be obvious but surprisingly is less so. The reason being we are never aware of how complicated we are or to what extent we can influence things. The problem only gets worst when you consider the possibilities of past and future lives. Who is to say you are not under some contract you made before you were born just because you are not aware of it now? And how comforting can it be to have an awareness of future triumphs when for now you feel you are just beating your head against the wall.
I am now vaguely aware of some personal possibilities I sought but could not manifest or be aware of back then. I can now see in the others things they are or do that are more or less predictable. Sometimes it is like a joke you heard as a kid that you didn't understand. When you grow up and become an adult it makes enough sense to be funny!
