My take on question..
The simple answer some will give is that you have had karmic attachments ( good or difficult ) with the other person in a former life and you are now coming together in this life to continue your journey together to expand or balance out the energy.
The other reason is perhaps because your vibrational pattern or blueprint of your personality and or Soul gives off an energy pattern which attracts the energies of others to you.
The more one does align to the Higher one also brings into one's being a more Universal energy essence into your auric field .. In which others so inclined energetically will be attracted to ... but if person has negative feeling about spiritual issues it may make those people keep away from you.
