I agree with all that his Holiness has said. My question to you is. Do YOU agree or disagree with what he has said. Your reasons for this. Why do we permit it these things to happen? And, what can we do individually, to change things, so that we can reclaim our community, and loving presence with each other? I would very much like to hear your thoughts on this. Love and light Kaz

hi Karen, I truly agree with his Holiness on that topic. (The reason :isn't it obvious?) REALLY tough question There is/will be no one method to overcome this. All people are not the same. Some understand quickly and some need a long explanation to understand. Some can meditate on self , some need something to meditate on. Some are physically active and some are introverts (me!). I think solving this problem by focusing only on older generations is a foolish idea. Some might change , some might not. We need to imbibe knowledge and virtues on children of extremely small age. There is no point on changing life when it is in middle of its progress. Change and point it towards right direction when the life just starts. When i say knowledge i am not talking about hardcore science, mathematics and make them earn degrees phds at young age.I am talking of knowledge of that "right direction" / "right path". Children are the most spiritual beings on earth. If they decide something to believe , something to follow, they will do it and put their 100% into it. They should be taught what is right and what is wrong. "The bigger houses and smaller families" thing is so simple to solve. When we say "Bigger families" it does not mean a family of two couples and 100 children. Thats not a bigger family , thats just some people who can't control themselves if you know what i mean . One thing i feel bad about is that in western countries one moves out of parent's house(not everyone but majority does i guess). But why to leave your wonderful parents who raised and worked hard for you. I just don't understand the concept behind that. In India no one ever leaves his family and lives somewhere else just to prove he is mature. Living with parents when you starting earning or they grow old is like returning the favors. But this time you take care of them and showering unstoppable rain of love. (The women in India go to respective house of their husband). If we start living with our parents , we will finally start calling "small families" "complete families". I think "less real communication thing" can be stopped by using the internet only to communicate internationally. The other problems i think can be solved by living a spiritual life. A spiritual person is a person who is social , smart and hardcore believer(of something). Spiritual person is always devoted to the higher consciousness no matter what work he is doing. We need more spiritually enlightened teachers rather than one or two.We need able citizen to protect their environment and keep it clean. As a individual according to me , we can do only one thing that is to believe in ourselves. If we believe that we can change this , then it will change. Our Mahatma Gandhi Ji quoted something nice, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."I don't think i managed to answer this question very well but i tried

What I think was left out of this short essay was that the quality of life for much of the human race is going down in many ways. That makes people very unhappy. Opportunities are vanishing too. The reason for this is speculative but almost invariably the human race seeks a savior - something they can look up to or depend on outside of themselves. Be it Socialism or some Ethnic Religion it always hinges more on promises then anything proven or actual.
Although I do not believe in an apocalypse or sudden destruction of civilization I do believe after and only after we have tried everything else do we come back to personal responsibility and freedom. The system we created to save us now relieves us of any responsibility to do anything on our own.
Add to this another paradox: for eons the most advanced places of civilization were the big cities. It was only in this admixture of disparate ideologies that true knowledge could emerge; if it could survive the test. The country side was strewn with stupidity and ignorance that ran unchecked. Feed the goats and milk the cows and beyond that who needs to question anything? Now I am seeing the diametric opposite. The large metropolitan areas are simply huge herds of people living off each other or the system as selfishly as they can. Only if and when you get away from that can you think for yourself as an individual. And that is often only hindered by rubbing elbows with literally millions of fellow human beings that might not approve of you if you do anything to stand out.
Large groups in tight places are easier to control. The Master within can not be so manipulated. I think most of the human race has forgotten this and is now paying the price.
