My grand daughter Atasha was born ceasarean. She developed jaundice less than a week old. She was exposed to Bililyte to remove the extra bilirubin in her blood. Almost a month old, She was again rushed to the hospital for frequent vomiting. Atasha was diagnosed by her pediatric surgeon Dr Astrologo for intestinal obstruction. At a very young age, Atasha, on December 25, 2011 was taken to the OR for explorlap. Inside, she was given the baptismal rites for Catholics by Nigerian priest Fr Martin. We praise God she survived the ordeal. Her doctor said Atasha`s acute abdomen was caused by congenital malrotation of the intestines. Why I am bringing this up because physicians treat emergency situations in saving lives by experience and intuition. When faced either to medicate or send a case to the OR is very crucial. One slip costs a patients life say, Acute Appendicitis. Mistaking it for renal colic. Christ Jesus the Physician also had to choose between life and death of His disciples at the Garden of Gethsemane. He chose death by not denying the Roman soldiers saving in return the lives of those who tried to resist. This He fulfilled in Matthew 16:25 "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. "
