I'd like to post something here (and also for thanking Ace on another thread). When I was a kid, more than 50 years ago (wow! that long!), SongKarn or (Old) New year day in my country, meant something like this: But now it's changed to be something like this: Hmm...it might not appropriate posting them here. But you've got an idea, right? Okay, to make my point, here's an example: If I were that statue of Buddha, I might got a really bad migraine and cold. Anyway, Songkran is a Pali/Sanskrit word which means "move" or "change place" as it is the day when the sun changes its position in the zodiac. It is also known as the "Water Festival" as people believe that water will wash away bad luck. So, may this Songkran wash away all of your bad lucks, everyone. P.S. When I was a monk, there was one chant that I had to memorized and had to chant after I got my alms (food) or I might starve to death if I could not chanting it (it was a traditional ritual). hahaha Just as rivers full of water, fill the ocean full, even so does that here given benefit the dead (the hungry shades). May whatever you wish or want quickly come to be, may all your aspirations be fulfilled, as the moon on the fifteenth (full moon) day, or as a radiant, bright gem. May all distresses be averted, may every disease be destroyed, may there be no dangers for you, may you be happy & live long. May you be freed from all disease, safe from all torment, beyond all animosity & unbound. Amen! (Hahaha, this was no really in my chant).

Hi Monty, I really enjoyed reading this post. I had not heard about this water festival. The pictures are lovely, and though I can see it has a serious spiritual side to it, it also looks great fun. Thank you for sharing it. Love and light Kaz

Hi Karen, I think the old wisdom was great. It was originated from Holi festival of colors in India, I think. Lucky that they created this water festival because it's very summer here and the weather is so hot.

Dear Donq, Please permit me to copy and paste this verse. After so many years of reflection. I finally came to this point, a dead end. This is my last self-realization from all my-self realizations. Bhagavad-gita Chapter 18: Conclusion-The Perfection of Renunciation TEXT 66 sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja aham tvam sarva-papebhyo moksayisyami ma sucah SYNONYMS sarva-dharmān—all varieties of religion; parityajya—abandoning; mām—unto Me; ekam—only; śaraṇam—surrender; vraja—go; aham—I; tvām—you; sarva—all; pāpebhyaḥ—from sinful reactions; mokṣayiṣyāmi—deliver; mā—not; śucaḥ—worry. TRANSLATION Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear. There`s no sense to all these rituals, chanting mantras etc if we don`t surrender to the Generator-Operator-Destroyer. Who is Krsna , the Alpha and Omega ( Rev. 22:13 ) Haribol always, Krsnaraja

Dear Krsnaraja,
I know what you were trying to say and thanks from my heart.
I was so familiar with Bhagavad-Gita and Mahabharata (and upaniṣad). I used to join Hare Krisna movement here, in my country, 35 years ago. But I had to leave them because of some personal reason: they wanted me to become one of their gurus and started teaching. I knew I was not ready and I had not found my answer yet. Have I ever regretted leaving them? Maybe. During the past 35 years I had tried many spiritual paths and finally decided to stick to only one for 30 years now. And I kind of believe in what Don Juan, a Yaqui shaman, said:
“Anything is one of a million paths. Therefore you must always keep in mind that a path is only a path; if you feel you should not follow it, you must not stay with it under any conditions. To have such clarity you must lead a disciplined life. Only then will you know that any path is only a path and there is no affront, to oneself or to others, in dropping it if that is what your heart tells you to do. But your decision to keep on the path or to leave it must be free of fear or ambition. I warn you. Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary.
"This question is one that only a very old man asks. Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same: they lead nowhere. They are paths going through the bush, or into the bush. In my own life I could say I have traversed long long paths, but I am not anywhere. Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't, it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn't. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.
"Before you embark on any path ask the question: Does this path have a heart? If the answer is no, you will know it, and then you must choose another path. The trouble is nobody asks the question; and when a man finally realizes that he has taken a path without a heart, the path is ready to kill him. At that point very few men can stop to deliberate, and leave the path. A path without a heart is never enjoyable. You have to work hard even to take it. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy; it does not make you work at liking it.” -Carlos Castaneda, The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge
I believe everyone is unique. So everyone's path is different. So does mine. And I've found my path. The path with a heart, especially my heart. :-)

My dear Donq,
I join spiritual discussion forums because I love to write about The Generator-Operator-Destroyer, GOD. So, I reactivated my account, which I started contributing since December 2007. Later was moderated then banned. Joined Yoganandaji/message. They received me well there until I started posting threads, " Jesus Christ is Balarama. " They knew I was Krishna Conscious but not a member of ISKCON. I am a practicing Catholic. In other words, Del Sol made me invisible. When I post, it`s only me who can see it. On-line members can see my postings but those who did not log-in can`t. They accepted me on February 2016. They became suspicious when I started posting references written by Prabhupad. I am now being placed in moderated status.
I was posting Krishna Conscious views. Until I wrote about Balarama Christ Jesus. The Admin and the regular reactors did not like what I was doing. I got pissed and said something not nice. They suspended me permanently, even disconnected their server to my mobile phone. My point is, if I join a Krishna Discussion Forum, it wont be purely Krishna. There`s always Christ in it. The same thing with another forum, which follows the Cosmic Consciousness Path ( Kriya Yoga ) of Yogananda Paramahansa. I messed them up with my Krsna cures Kansr/cancer. The article is now placed in Hot Potatoes section.
In my community, I follow the Catholic Path because my family are devout Catholics. But in the internet, I follow the Krishna/Christ path. I do not know if there`s a path with a heart. Maybe it all boils to business and money matters. Everyone needs money. Spiritual masters do not ask for money but only donations. I have yet to find one who is not Dollar/Rupee/Lahk/Sevak/Peso/Conscious. We need to survive. We eat in order to live. If we do not eat, we die. We do samadhi. Find ourselves in heaven, Vaikuntha or Krishnaloka. I want that. But what if we continue to enjoy say, illicit sex, meat eating, gambling, alcoholic intoxication, indulge in therapeutic marijuana, sniff cocaine, inject morphine and heroine, take LSD, etc? We go to hell. The choice is yours. Krishna says, " If you devout your life to Me, I am with you. But if you don`t I will send you to hell. It`s because that is what you want. You have a freewill least I will be blame. When they say I am the Cause of all causes. "
I laugh at Krishna. I laugh at Christ Balarama Jesus. I laugh at Mayavadi spiritual masters. I laugh at Buddhist monks for shaving their heads and chanting mantras, AUM. What`s really the real score, by the way? I think it is double zero. Two zeroes are Two Roses to me. It`s called Bi-Rose. I am a BI-Rose. If I stay here for sometime. This web site will be infected. Sparkle Kaz will put me in moderated status and perhaps banned for life. Lol!
Very truly yours,
Krsnaraja
P.S. I use to follow Isaac Azimov. I am his fan. When he starts to tick..tick.. on his type writer, the whole world follows what he writes. I use to create, earthquakes err heartaches. I am responsible for super typhoons using the technology of facebook. I can cause dormant volcanoes to erupt. I am responsible for 911. I just do not want to be angry. Well, only nuts write the way I do.

My dear Krsnaraja,
I like your post. And you wrote it with your heart. For the last 12 years, I got similar reactions while posting on some other spiritual forums. Anyway, I believe in what Chuang Tzu said about trying to tell something to someone who is not ready or doesn't want to hear:
"Do you know what it is that destroys virtue, and where wisdom comes from? Virtue is destroyed by fame, and wisdom comes out of wrangling. Fame is something to beat people down with, and wisdom is a device for wrangling. Both are evil weapons - not the sort of thing to bring you success. Though your virtue may be great and your good faith unassailable, if you do not understand men's spirits, though your fame may be wide and you do not strive with others, if you do not understand men's minds, but instead appear before a tyrant and force him to listen to sermons on benevolence and righteousness, measures and standards - this is simply using other men's bad points to parade your own excellence. You will be called a plaguer of others. He who plagues others will be plagued in turn. You will probably be plagued by this man. "And suppose he is the kind who actually delights in worthy men and hates the unworthy-then why does he need you to try to make him any different?"
And the best way to tell something to someone is to inspire them, doesn't it?
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. -William Arthur Ward
I also like the word "tailor". We have to tailor our words to fit for each individual, have we not?
P.S. I don't think SparkleKaz would ban you. I know her for some time. If there was a case, it was about trying to teach here. Or post the link to promote something personal, even it's about spirituality, it's still against the rule here. As we come to share, not to teach.

I knew one character that managed to get banned everywhere he went in the cyber world until one day they decided he was pathetic. That was pretty much the end of him! He wasn't even the villain anymore much less the personification of evil. I never figured out if was he or his audience that had to grow up.
To me what makes it all worthwhile is to be booed for a reason. It doesn't take much character just to be obnoxious ....anyone can do that!

I posted a thread starter " Where does the day begin? " in the late 2001. I was using the thread with characters Prabhupad and Me. Jet-soning from one thread to another. Reactors were posting conversations on this thread talking about boarding a plane. One mentioned he had a gun. The next thing I knew, the pc I was using hanged. I thought that was the end of it after we made a mess of a discussion forum. The following day, I saw on tv a plane hit a tall building in New York, USA. The date September 11, 2001.
They use my starter thread like a simulation chamber. A disabling viral program of some sort paralyzing the navigational system of the plane that slammed into the World Trade Center. It answered my question where the day began.

Hi Krsnaraja,
I had spent 30 years to understand The butterfly effect (a butterfly flapping its wings could cause a a hurricane somewhere in a distant location), not in the syfy/time traveling sense, nor chaos theory sense, but in spiritual sense. I knew there was a concetion but still could not find the satisfied answer. Though I've stopped trying for years but I still do know, as Francis Thompson wrote:
"When to the new eyes of thee All things by immortal power, Near or far, Hiddenly To each other linkèd are, That thou canst not stir a flower Without troubling of a star"
I've learned in a very hard way that finding the right answer might not be an end but only its means. And I've learned to appreciate what I already got. I might never find my answer. And that's okay. Now I only hope that I didn't overlook something, no matter how small it seems to be.
I know that the day will come when my sight of this earth shall be lost, and life will take its leave in silence, drawing the last curtain over my eyes. Yet stars will watch at night, and morning rise as before, and hours heave like sea waves casting up pleasures and pains. When I think of this end of my moments, the barrier of the moments breaks and I see by the light of death thy world with its careless treasures. Rare is its lowliest seat, rare is its meanest of lives. Things that I longed for in vain and things that I got ---let them pass. Let me but truly possess the things that I ever spurned and overlooked. -from Gitanjali (song offerings) by Rabindranath Tagore

Let me but truly possess the things that I ever spurned and overlooked.-from Gitanjali (song offerings) by Rabindranath Tagore After I was placed on moderated status last week on Devotees Message Board and my controversial threads e.g I am the Alpha and Omega, Krsna cures Kansr/cancer placed in the Hot Potato section. Earthquakes hit Japan and Ecuador killing many lives and destroying properties worth billions. Prabhupad says, " According to the materialistic way of life, if a poor man, after laboring very, very hard, gets some material profit at the end of his life, he is considered a success, even though he again dies while suffering the threefold miseries—adhyātmika, adhidaivika and adhibhautika. No one can escape the threefold miseries of materialistic life, namely miseries pertaining to the body and mind, miseries pertaining to the difficulties imposed by society, community, nation and other living entities, and miseries inflicted upon us by natural disturbances from earthquakes, famines, droughts, floods, epidemics, and so on. " SB 7.13.31
"The Lord is the constant companion of the living entity as Paramatma, or the Supersoul, and therefore He can understand the desires of the individual soul, as one can smell the flavor of a flower by being near it." Bhagavad-gita 5:15
Srila Prabhupada writes:
Even if one is a Vaishnava, if he commits offenses to the Holy Name, he becomes unfit to render pure devotion. Although it may appear that he is still being shown favor by the Lord as he continues to make a show of chanting without difficulty, the Lord is actually very displeased with him because of his antagonism toward devotees. Therefore, to give up nama-aparadha we must first give up sadhu-ninda or finding fault with devotees.
