Do You Believe In Angels

The word Angel is derived from the Greek word angelos, which means messenger. Malakh, the Hebrew word for Angel, also means messenger, and both words nicely coincide with the Persian word for angel, angaros, similarly meaning a courier. Angels are traditionally believed to be supernatural or celestial beings, who act as mediators and messengers between man and god. Angels are found within three major religions. Judaism, Christianity and Islam. But they are also mentioned within Sumerian, Babylonian, Persian, Egyptian and Greek writings.

The role of an angel, is generally accepted as being one of protection, comfort and guidance; And that they bring us messages of truth and in some cases warnings, to aid mankind. The belief in Angels, is a very personal thing and one many people share. Even those people who are not particularly religious. We love to wear angel jewellery; Give Angel mementoes and keepsakes, to those we love to protect them. Many individuals like to keep pictures of Angels around them, because they help to make them feel safe.

My question is - do you believe you have a Guardian Angel, or in the existence of Angels. Have you ever had an Angel experience - seen, felt or sensed their presence; Or do you know anyone else who has. Would you like to share your own or their stories.

Angels are very "iffy" because they don't really belong here at all and not surprisingly are not bound by our laws of chemistry and physics. They come here anyway because they feel sorry for us and want to help. But that includes everything from a past "buddy" to an ascended Master and everything in between. So no wonder it gets confusing.

It is argued G*d loves and protects us but I am afraid the reality is that the Cosmos is very complex and also incredibly distant. Luck is just a way of saying strange things are happening and we think there might be a reason for everything. But we don't know what it is. Who do we thank or curse? And yet it seems a gift was left on our door step over the night by some anonymous donor. Or some gremlin stole something from us when we were not looking.

I have never seen an angel but I can't explain a lot of things either. These things seem to go beyond coincidence. Or some people seem to be able to tap into or be receptive to forces I can't comprehend.

Just a few statements on this vast subject. These beings of energy are very real to me...

The Esoteric understanding of the whole Angelic Hierarchy as an Evolving classification of Beings and the many ways these energetic beings help and aid humanity and Nature and other ways is a vast subject to me.

Some being do energetically work directly with individuals, some work at religious gathering, rituals and ceremonies some work directly in the process of healing, meditation and prayer, some work in hospitals and are their at the birth of a child, some work with nature and gardens, some work with creativity and artistic inspirations of all sorts...  They work with both individual energy and the energy of a whole group.

There are many classifications of these Angelic or Devic being.. to many to list all... but they aid energetically where they can... it is their mission... the hierarchy of theses being include the nature spirits of the four elements,, up to vast angelic being who work with  the energy within Trees and forests, Mountains, some with Weather patterns etc etc. They work with the Energy and Life force of things and not directly with physical forms. Working mostly with the Etheric Energy and pranic forces behind the physical. Then you have the Higher Beings of this Hierarchy are the Archangels and the Creative Forces within the World and the Universe.  The planetary Hierarchies and those energies showered  down on the consciousness of Humanity and people.

I am less into the New Agey concept of these being "helping to get one a parking space" mentality (just using that as an example). Some people get into a fantasy about Angels.. that they are at the beck and call of human desires. They aid in the energy processes where they can for the upliftment of humanity and the natural forces of the Earth.   Less into fulfilling ego needs and desires.  Show them you want to sincerely aid in helping others -- call upon them... they will surely respond.

My understanding as it applies to all the various religious/spiritual personal belief constructs human beings come up with:

When the Yoga enters into deeper states of trance... one may hear subtle sounds in the ear, smell burning incense or floral fragrances (which have non-worldly origin) and gain sight into the occult worlds. That which the Yogin experiences varies depending on the inner plane of consciousness to which one is currently attuned.

Inspired observation that puts an easy end to truth arguments.
