Hello
Kaz and I have done this before on Forum ,, so we thought it would be interesting to do again... pick an image and ask everybody to freely associate,,, any meaning which comes to mind when viewing it,,, any ideas?
IMAGE #1-- Let say the following picture was a dream image for you.... what ideas does the image evoke for you? what does it symbolize, if anything for you? is the person entering or just leaving the room? what does the room evoke for you?
FROM KAZ -- "I would suggest that people do their own thoughts on the picture, before reading and responding to what others have written. Only because I know from my own experience, reading the thoughts of others can influence the way I see something. If people do theirs before reading others, it wont taint their own intuitive thoughts on it."

Hi ace, It's lovely to see this topic back on the forum. For me personally, the room looks like a box. The stones are old and worn. Symbolically it makes me think of closed mindedness and being stuck with old out-dated concepts and beliefs. The floor is sandy. On one hand this is nurturing, grounded energy. So a solid foundation. But on the other hand, sand makes me think of the sands of time, which is always changing and shifting. Though it might seem a contradiction, because foundations to me represent something that is solid and un-moving. The shifting sands are fluid and illusionary. So maybe this is saying our foundation is our inner strength, true selves. And the sand represents our ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes in circumstances. The woman in the picture looks like she's being led out of the room, albeit reluctantly. There is a part of her that feels safe in this room, and though she realizes that she can no longer stay there, she is fearful of moving forward. She keeps looking back, because she knows once she walks through that door, everything will change. So this room for her represents safety. Comfort with what is familiar. Even though to me it has the feel of a cell - a prison. I feel if she'd chosen to walk out by herself, even though she'd still be apprehensive, it would be her choice. This way, I have a feeling she's moving forward, before she is truly ready. I notice there are leaves on the ground. Leaves represent lessons learned and if they fall to the ground, they are completed. That is why she has been isolated this way. The lessons learned have been hard. Illusion has given way to clarity, and even though she knows this, she is sad. Just my thoughts on this. Love and light Kaz

It is very scary to be out in the open where you are subject to flying rocks and missiles. Even a door jam is some protection. But then when you sense your chance to escape from a prison the very place of safety and refuge becomes your door to salvation. Namely the door! Crossing the threshold takes only an instant but the memory can last for eons. If you are brave enough to do it.

Go deep enough, and there is a bedrock of truth, however hard.

Initial reaction, was of someone who had been trapped, the uneven worn floor, suggests a lot of pacing up and down, an uneasiness, holding onto negative mind patterns, again the worn floor and bottom of door suggests this has gone on for a long time. The exposed stone work shows it was man made, self made, and the pattern of stone in places, suggest there was comfort to some degree in holding onto these beliefs. The larger figure dressed the same, suggests, a larger version of the same thing, higher self, who helps lead the person out of a negative mindset, but not to freedom, but to a larger room (mind set), where more work needs to be done.
