We are entering times of great transition. A new earth is emerging. People are awakening. But old structures are crumbling around us and new ones are not yet in place. Many are experiencing great uncertainty and confusion. It is said by some, that we are now moving into what the Mayans call the “time in between”. The old is beginning to crumble and the new has not yet fully arrived. A time of confusion and uncertainty.
In many ways, humanity has come to the brink of disaster world-wise. We see over-population, polluted rain forests, global warming, rising unemployment, peak oil, global food shortages, and severe climate changes. We also see more and more clearly the huge inequities in wealth and power across the globe. And we watch as the world economy teeters on the verge of collapse. These are all signs of old structures dying. And we will likely see more disaster-like scenarios for some time to come. This makes sense because we’re experiencing not only a death process, but a birth process as well. Chaos is to be expected. My question is, what do you feel will happen. Have enough people awakened to their true spiritual natures, to make a difference. Do you believe that we will survive the changes ahead, or will as in ancient times, we end up destroying what we have, and have to start all over again?

What little I have been told of ancient civilizations suggests nothing short of monumental stupidity. Indeed none would have been "saved" but for their honesty and sincerity. Plus their ability to listen and obey. Looking back it seems obvious we were so egotistical we were blind to how savage we were. Oddly in modern times we have much more power and knowledge but also more self doubt about that. Will that be our modern saving grace?
"It is suggested" like Noah and the flood very few will permit themselves to survive because they won't or can't accept the notion that help is available. Or their ego is centered on conquest and submission when it should be realized these are the very things that can not be bought, sold, or possessed.
Who will be guilty of this? I have no idea. This is because I can only judge by contemporary standards and I am too close to the center to be able to see this from a safe neutral vantage point. I do agree that much of what we do is dysfunctional even as our political systems are fast replacing the old religious order with the same results: a worship of dogma ( or in this case endless laws ).
Where have all the heros gone? Could it be we have outgrown to need for them? The Rosicrucians believe the Messiah will come but it won't be a discrete individual only appealing to one people or culture. It will be something all can embrace by self realization. It will then be a part of all of us. But sadly I do not see this happening any time soon. Indeed for now the trend to join and unify only magnifies our penchant for abusing power to extremes.
So be careful who or what you join up with. I think most of us risk being swept away. I have been taught the way out is very plain but we have rejected it because we didn't believe it was there. Something so simple a child could see it. But the courage to go there was the most adult thing imaginable.

Hi Kaz... I agree with you that we are in a cycle of transition, many have known and predicted this change for a 100 or more years and some longer. In my understanding transitions take place over time,, it does not happen overnight to large groups of people but in can be speeded up with an individual who makes the commitment and does 'the work" of being on the spiritual Path.
Astrologically it is the moving from what is called the Age of Pisces and what it's energy brought in and represented to the energy of the Age of Aquarius. To the esoteric that is the stage we are slowly awakening to (not the finished or enlightened stage by any means). Plus we have been under the Astrological influence of Pluto in Capricorn since about 2007 which will be around until 2024. Pluto is the planet of Transformation, Death and Rebirth and Capricorn represents built up structures of authority in social, financal and other hierarchical forms.
The term "Awakened" seems to mean different things to different people. The Ultimate "Awakening", in Buddhist terms has a slightly different connotation then others who use it to denote a mere opening to an understanding there is more to life then just our ego wants and desires. Both are useful stages.. but gets confused at times in people using the word.
The Esoteric understanding of Human Evolution is a vast and fascinating subject. Took us eons of time with cycles of both growth and decay and evolution over multiple levels of consciousness to get us where we are now. And is said overall we are but babies in the true and vast stages which will enfold for humanity over time.
just my two cents...

I have often found in the world of spirituality, that the wheels of change are big and heavy, and while the old slowly grind to a halt, the new takes time to gather momentum, this always leaves an interim period where nothing seems to be happening, and can be a time of great frustration and uncertainty, but it also seems to be a time when faith is tested. Its hard to see the fruits of a mass of newly awakened people, even if we ignore the media, people's attitudes in our local community should provide some indication, it's sad to say, but been honest, it doesn't seem apparent, which can only surmise, that the interest is superficial. Reports of world economies seem doomed to failure, but then, we have no one to blame but ourselves, true, the old has to die before the new can begin, as in the glass has to be emptied, before it can be refilled. Have things gone too far, I feel you would have to be an extreme optimist to think they haven't, if you go with the conspiracy theorists, it seems there is only one way things are going. Throughout the world there are people who are making great changes, living off the grid, trying to become self sufficient, in remote areas, leaving cities. Great changes seem to be coming our way, whether that comes about through a change in consciousness of the masses, or by war, we can all decide for ourselves. Maybe, we need the world economy to collapse, maybe we need another massive shakeup, man hasn't changed his ways so why shouldn't history repeat itself, maybe, things will go back to the way they were, small communities becoming self sufficient, governing themselves, living off the land, who knows, but what ever happens, we caused it to happen.
