All of us on planet earth must reflect to find out what journey we are on. Some may be on a journey of achievement and others on a journey of existence. The ones on the journey of existence have no purpose, have no meaning. They wake up every morning and before they know it, the day is over. Either they drag through the day or the day escapes them and just as each day escapes, their life escapes too. This is a journey of existence.
But there are some who are on the journey of achievement. They achieve, achieve and achieve still more. Great! But the question worth pondering over is, “Is life just about achievement?” The achievers who are lucky, go on to the next journey. They move on from achievement to fulfillment. Instead of just making money, they make a difference. They are content, they are peaceful, they are tranquil, they are happy, they have a connection with the Universal Power. They have the freedom to live their dreams. The final challenge is to evolve from the journey of achievement and the journey of fulfillment to the journey of enlightenment - a journey where you first come across self realization, realizing who you truly are by asking questions: Where did you come from before birth and where will you go after death? Where is God? Who is God? Does the soul exist? Questions like these would take one from a journey of fulfillment to a journey of self realization. Self realization will take one a step further to God realization and realization of liberation or enlightenment. Well, there are those who will scoff at these three journeys. They don’t even want to accept the thought of these journeys, and it is their mind that is playing truant with them. It is their mind that is making them dance on a journey of pure existence. The choice is ours. Are we going to review and reflect on our life journey? We must question our life and decide on what journey we are going to be on.
