Thank you so much Ace for sharing this delightful and magical film. I have not seen it yet but like Mary Anne I am excited to see it...right up my street I have watched the interview on the film with Irish actor Brendan Gleeson whose voice is recorded in the movie. There is a poem in it by William Butler Yeats 'The stolen child' and this along with 'The Fairies' by Willian Allingham are well known and taught to Irish children in primary schools across Ireland as part of its folklore. I remember the poems well and learning them in school and how the words would paint images in my mind of the magical fairy world I lived amongst. I was always wary of the faeries and all children were warned of them and their powers. The faeries were used a bit like the 'Boogyman'to keep us safe and guarded of strangers. Here are some of the hauntingly magical poems and a little documentary on the fairy folklore. Here is a short animated film on 'the Selkies' although its based on Scottish myth we (Irish) also share the same myth of the 'Selkies' Enjoy Thank you Ace for sharing and for reminding me of what I had forgotten since my youth. Love and Light
