Doubt, to be uncertain about a belief. Where does doubt come from, why does doubt come in, does everyone doubt from time to time. is the only way to remove doubt, through blind faith, but blind faith seems to suggest there was not any evidence. but many have had evidence, so why does faith ( to have complete trust ),get rocked so easily. Is it because the evidence comes in glimpses, and does not show in the way we want, when we want it, is time a factor, is this where the seed of doubt creeps in. Do we start to make excuses for what we experienced, personally, no, that can never be denied. So, why does doubt creep in?

Hi Robert,
It might be irrelevant, but your questions reminds me of this quote:
"But Faith, like a jackal, feeds among the tombs, and even from these dead doubts she gathers her most vital hope."

Hello Robert...
I think personally the Middle Way is best in dealing with the concept or feelings of doubt. On one side - is totally believing anything without questioning - that is blind belief. The other side in its extreme is not believing at all. Fixed state of mind- saying i have the truth and Know.
But inquiry, questioning and discernment are part of the Middle way to me,, and those are very great Spiritual tools of wisdom - which can lead to understanding.
Of course we have the famous statement attributed to Buddha ,,
""Don't blindly believe what I say. Don't believe me because others convince you of my words.
Don't believe anything you see, read, or hear from others, whether of authority, religious teachers or texts."
"Don't rely on logic alone, nor speculation. Don't infer or be deceived by appearances."
"Do not give up your authority and follow blindly the will of others. This way will lead to only delusion."
"Find out for yourself what is truth, what is real. Discover that there are virtuous things and there are non-virtuous things. Once you have discovered for yourself give up the bad and embrace the good."
~ The Buddha
Some people doubt he actually said this.. LOL

Thank you Ace, I like your last line,
But been an extremist, with a burning desire for freedom and truth, I will search the bowels of the earth, and claw at the highest heights, fully knowing that balance is key in all of life.
