HI Angel, moved your questions to this new Astrology thread. and will try to answer them a little at a time here.
Here I will share what I understand to try to answer the first two questions: other posts here on this thread will be for the other questions.
Anyone can ask their own questions here also or give their own answers to questions posed.


Angel: One of my questions is...Are there certain crystals that would correspond (energy wise) with the different planets?

Crystals themselves are ruled by the Sign Capricorn an Earth sign ruled by Saturn - it's energy rules mountains, rocks , trees and Crystals. The spiritual aspects of crystals were highlighted when Capricorn combined with Neptune.  Neptune was transiting in Capricorn in the years 1984 to 1998. Effecting people born during those years and other people got interested in their use during that time frame and they became very strong spiritual tools for many.  If one has Capricorn strongly placed in ones chart or Neptune in an earth sign or earth house that interest may be strong in person depending on house and aspect placements. Certain qualities of the planets would certainly be correlated - like definitely an easy one is Moon-Stones with Moon, Fiery Red stones - Ruby with Mars energy – Rosy Quartz with Venus or Neptune,etc. Not been my burning interest per say so never looked really into it to much... But maybe I will in future. But know there are also different metals that are correlated with different planets in Alchemy. Venus with Copper - Mercury with Quicksilver - Sun with Gold - Moon with Silver etc. 

Angel can you think of any other stones which would harmonized with the different planetary energy meaning?

Also how does the energies between planets (2 or more say) interacting with each other directly interfere with earth? What i mean is ...Are there planetary energies which could be seen as conflicting?...how would this affect earth and indeed us?

Yes, I mentioned some of the conflicting energies while doing the write up of the planets,,, Sometimes conflicting means they are really opposition planets in which in some ways they need each other’s energy to balance out.. Venus /Mars is one -Saturn /Jupiter another - and Saturn energy conflicts with all the Trans-Saturnian planets (Uranus /Neptune and Pluto.) in one sense.  Astrological signs have their contrary opposite Signs,, and in order to totally understand  one you really need to know also its opposite sign - together the two halves  make one total picture. 
Certainly some of the political etc conflicts we have on earth are about different planetary energies in manifestation in conflicting planets and energies and people attached to one over the other.

This gets a bit complicated - I’ll just share a little – esoterically the physical planets that we see in the sky are not actually where the energy of the planets come from.  They are just the visual way-stations for higher intelligences and forces in an evolutionary process that pervades the energetic atmosphere of the earth on multiple levels of consciousness -- Effecting all of nature and humanity.   Just like they say about the Earth  - That it is a living Conscious being named by some Gaia,, all the planets have similar intelligence's in charge of their radiations and inhabitants etc.

Actually, I want to add that this is Very good for me to learn; I am So glad you're willing to do this.  And you know me some now, charlie - it seems almost everything About me is lined up to be 'mutable', isn't it?  - planets, ascendants, houses, etc....I'm going to have to understand what that Means, to understand what may happen if I try to be Otherwise.    


I know people are 'lined up', astrologically, for a Reason, just as surely as math has it's axiomatic principles...but what good does math do us in a store if we have not Learned it, and do not know how to calculate a sale price?  lol    The same likely goes with astrology, because the more I see of it, the more I see how it could Help me keep from taking wrong paths and doing damage.

Angel: Also what is the differences between direct, retrograde and conjunction? I cant remember if there are others. Is mercury the only planet that goes retrograde? I have not heard of others going retro so that is why I ask?

Direct is in between period when it comes out of forward movement into a retrograde period and then you get other direct when it goes out of retrograde back into forward movement. Regularly planets move forward in their Signs and by degrees. Planets do not actually go retrograde in reverse,- But there movement seems that way.  Ever see two trains traveling side by side and one train seems to going backward to the other,,, it is based on their relative movement that it seems that way.  Retrograde periods are symbolically more inwardly and past oriented. One is symbolically reliving the same energy degrees they have been through before -- Giving the energy opportunity to rework old patterns,, sometimes new forward activities don’t work as smoothly under a retrograde cycle.  Such as communication and travel with Mercury retrograde.

All the planets have retrograde periods except for the Sun and Moon which aren’t really planets. Mercury the one most people have heard about happens two or three times a year. The other retrogrades length of time depends on distance of Planet to Sun, I think.

ASPECTS - The other astrology concept you mentioned was Conjunction which is one of the basic astrology Aspects along with Oppositions, Squares, Sextiles, and Trines.  There are many other aspects,,, which have relative importance and that astrologers use. All of them deal with the mathematical degrees and angles the planets make with each other. A circle contains 360 degree.. - Conjunctions are when they are in close proximity to the same degree ( the amount of closeness ( called the Orb between planets) needed is debated among astrologers) Oppositions are opposite each other and 180 degrees apart if it was exact. Trines are 120 degrees - Squares are 90 degrees and Sextiles are 60 degrees. The amount of degrees and the aspects mentioned are important energy interaction points.. Each aspect has it own energy and meaning,,, some energy interactions work harmoniously and smoothly, some are inharmonious causing friction but could also lead to growth.

Angel: Also why would I 'feel' an overwhelming connection to the moon and neptune? What would I have to look up in my natal chart to understand this connection?

To get a complete picture of those planets you need to know what sign they are both in, the houses they are in and any aspects they make with others planets and each other. Actually,  ultimately you would need to know your whole chart really to see there relative place in the full scheme of things.  But even just knowing the first stuff can be insightfull.

Angel: Lastly (for now ) are all planets either masculine or feminine or do they have both energies? If so how does these energies change or manifest within the planet's own energy?

I tried to put that down for most of the planets there basic energy orientation – but used concepts of Yin for feminine and receptive and Yang for masculine and active principles. I  tried to be as politically correct as I could by not using masculine or feminine ....big thing in US.   I liked the Yin/Yang concept more because both have a circle of energy of the other within each separate side.

Mary Anne .. I don't see it at all as wrong as much as finding out what is the most beneficial ways of using the energy blueprint you set up for yourself even before you came into incarnation. But every chart has so many different possibilities of working out within its own parameters.

Here is a clumsy example...lets say there are a millions choices in the grand grab bag of being human,,, each person has a thousand choices within that million,,, But the actual usage for many is only about 100 of that thousand. Making the most of the thousand we have takes lots of work as it is.

Going outside of what we set up and given on our plate? is it really worth the time and effort to do it when we haven't even finished a 10th of what is on our chosen plate. Maybe yes, maybe no.

It's okay - really! Just by answering Lorraine you have given me Many new ways of looking at the Same things, and it's already helped tremendously. I am now studying the tango and the foxtrot side-by-side, as the retrogrades match up in their action with the unseen equal-and-opposite reactions since we can't create any more Space, even dimensionally, than what actually Is, though that's more than we can imagine....

Never mind This is Wonderful, and now I have things to keep me up all night.

Morning Ace...thank you for the answers you have given and just like your other posts I need time to study and absorb the information

My last question for now Ace is...Are there certain places on earth or countries that would be particularly attuned to certain planets? Or do the planets energies effect earth as a whole? Also does earth have both yin/yang energies astrologically speaking? Oh yeah...and surely earth has some effects on other planets?...yet earth is not mentioned... is that because we use earth as a point of reference?

Ps. Its funny when I think about it...I swapped all my gold for silver jewellery some years ago...including my wedding and engagement bands for two reasons...one because I preferred the look and 'feel' of silver and two because I suddenly became allergic or reactive to all my gold...how strange! I can still wear gold but not for long periods as it feels heavy 'energywise' where silver just feels like air...light and soft.

My favourite crystals are Aquamarine and Rose Quartz although I am prone to amethyst when being creative. I have no idea which crystals would be suited to which planets...except maybe tigers eye with Jupiter. ..no idea really why I said that...just first thought that popped in my head. The Astrology we are doing is Earth Based astrology called Geo-centric Astrology. If you see an Astrology chart,, the center would be the Earth. There are also a less known Helio-centric Astrology systems which uses the Sun as it’s center point.

Yes, the Earth has an Astrology chart per say,, the same as all Countries, nations, cities and individuals do - which is another particular branch of Astrology,   Each country has a chart and qualities ( yin or yang etc) and energies of their chart - and are likewise effected by the moving planets and its transits and cycles.  So yes, Certain areas of earth would be under different planetary configuration and rulers, just like individuals living on earth are.   Each Country or nation and likewise each area within a country has its own astrology signature from its chart’s energies it is working with.  Giving it a unique flavor, energies, cultures, and belief system. This of course works out and through the people born and living in that country or area, a symbiotic interrelationship. 

Is it just by chance or are there inner intelligent energy reasons that a person is born into a certain area or country on Earth?

Countries just like individuals are subject to change and cycles.  If you think of the inside of a clock ( before digital, of course) it is made up of wheels within wheels all moving in their own cyclical movement.  So are different countries, cities and people living on earth.   There is a whole fascinating system of astrology which maps out an individual’s chart and which energies are highlighted in a person if they were living in one country on Earth instead of another. Would living in one place on Earth activate certain qualities and even interests within us and would it be different if we lived someplace else? This Astrology system is called Astrocartography or relocation astrology.

The Earth is a living organism subject to changes and transformation. Just like individuals do - it is understood the Earth has chakras and an etheric nervous system that runs throughout the planet, ie energetic etheric Ley Lines. Astrological energies work thru people and throughout the Earth through its Etheric ( Pranic) body.  That is same level of consciousness as our own chakras, or let me qualify that - our own etheric level chakras.  It is the living energy framework within humans which is used in acupuncture ( if you have seen those acupuncture maps describing the flow of Chi through the body).

Esoterically the earth is a living evolving multidimensional organism, subject just like individuals are to its own periodic birth’s and eventual death and lots of Alchemical changes and cycles it its process of manifesting on the physical realm.  It is presently in physical manifestation as part of an evolutionary playground for many different evolving species including humans living upon it.

Being that the Earth is part of a symbiotic system,, all parts do effect all the other individual parts AND the whole all at the time. A giant spider web of life effect, change one strand on the web and the whole thing shifts.

Im just zapped at the moment I have caught a virus and feel truly awful so my energy is on conservation at the moment but I didnt want you to think I didnt appreciate because I do truly and I look forward to picking up again when I feel better.
