Let us try to swim in the waters of Neptune. Being that Neptune transcends the rational mind – may be more difficult to navigate using words But here goes ...
While Uranus at its Highest archetypical level related to the Big Mind Universal consciousness... Neptune relates ultimately to the Big Heart process and the archetypes of universal unconditional Love and Bliss. Delving deep into the waters of Universal Collected Unconsciousness. It is about giving up the personal self and the ego and surrendering into Divine Unity. Many times in the life of a spiritual seeker they embark on one of these Two great paths. – Personality - I Think we need both. Uranus was the way of the Magician, the Occultist or usable Practical Esotericism awakening at it’s Highest the Supreme Self. Neptune is called the Way of the Mystic which dissolves and surrenders and sacrifices everything looking for Mystic Union with the Divine. One is more active the other more receptive. Uranus with profound Wisdom and Understanding while Neptune embraces the Universal Feelings of Unity. Both deal with unity process in their own way.
In Neptune we are dealing with a Sublime principle which is also filled with and of Ambiguity, Uncertainty, Unclarity and Paradox. Time to dive.
Neptune the Planet of the Mystic - Union with the Divine
Neptune is one of the Yin water planets of feeling and emotions - like the Moon and Venus. In Neptune we are dealing with transcendence and the higher octave of Venus. The personal Love we saw in Venus is now taken into higher/deeper principle of Compassion and Unconditional Love for all. Meditation and its practices are related to Neptune's energy. Humility and Grace are if positive traits.
One must remember in dealing with Neptune it is a force that gives up and dissolves boundaries. It is the archetype of the principle of Maya which pervades all – Maya which is filled with subtle traps of illusion and fantasy to the mind and reason and emotions and feelings. Surrender and sacrifice are two key principles of Neptune. Its dissolves the Ego and it’s structures that Saturn has built, both in the world and within our psyches. It can make things disappear - or seemingly disappear. - another of it’s tricks. The Neptune archetype deals with all things immaterial, spiritual and beyond the five physical senses. The paradox of Neptune is – we must use this illusion to perceive it as illusion, to then ultimately transcend the illusion. Without getting caught is the many illusions.
One has to first build the structures before they are ready to see through them and give them up. In evolution we had to built up the ego over long periods of time and many births before they are ready to give it up. Many people get a glimpse or essence of Oneness these days but that is all it truly is - an Essence The essence can Feel as real as the full experience,,, but they get blinded by Maya’s tricks. Maya’s trick is that it is all One “ultimately”, yes -- but knowing that concept mentally does not mean that there is no need for the journey to continue or that they expereinced the Fullness of the One. Usually in most it is a momentary glimpse ( but feels like all) and then they have to deal with life again. But just saying it they are finished doesn’t make it so,,, the full journey must be lived. That bypass mentally seems to pervade some in the so-called New Age movement. They get blinded by Maya and its tricks. But one has to have gone through all the steps leading to the true Neptune experience or experiences ( their are more then one) or one can get caught up with Neptune blended with Ego which can lead to the lower Shadow aspects of Neptune’s nature including all kinds of escapism, psychotic breaks with reality, drug and alcohol addiction. Neptune deals with pain and suffering and also healing and helping. It is the archetype of altruism, selfless service, universal compassion, Neptune teaches us the concept of “to serve or suffer.”. At it’s Highest it makes us realize the at one level we are all One beyond any boundaries of names or forms. It touches on states of Nirvana.. Be even Nirvana has stages for those who know.
Neptune in its manifestations in ordinary life can either be illusion or mystical illumination, depending on one’s level of spiritual evolution. For that reason Neptune can represent the highest and lowest aspects of the human experience, the most beautiful and painful of human emotions.
The wonderful gifts of Neptune are many also – It gives Inspiration and the gift of Imagination, It is said to be energy of the Muses of the Creative Arts alive within Music, Poetry and Dance, Photography and Movies. The movies we go see and the movies we see within our minds and imagination. But Neptune is also ruler of Fantasy.. both real or imagined. Saturn bring us down to practical reality - Neptune always seeks some type of escape into some more expanded sublime reality be it true or not.
Neptune energy can helps us to realize that we can become instruments for Divine Healing. Neptune deals with the Angelic and Archangelic realms, forces and inhabitants. It is the connected to both the astral and much Higher levels of inner reality. All of which are relatively real on their own plane of consciousness or can be fantasy. The more positive aspects of Neptune are dreams and sleep. Dreams can we windows into insight and the collective unconscious. Neptune can be devotion to a higher cause, our connection to Spirit. Neptune awakens trust. It rules the subject of Hypnotism and Trance. Aliens and Astral travel.
Some other Shadow aspects of Neptune can be : Blindly believing, Idealism . Spiritual cults or blindly believing for both the the leader and followers which are both under Neptune’s spell. - without any discernment. It is hard to see clearly in the mists of Neptune's sprays of water. Because Neptune’s energy feels so good and enticing like the Sirens in Greek Mythology we can be easily trapped. It is the space cadet mentality, living in the clouds, over imagination, over trusting, over believing, confusion and self-doubt and weakness to a fault, filled with self-guilt, being oversensitive to energy and others are all negative manifestations of Neptune.
Neptune was main archetype in the Age of Pisces which we are on the cusp of gradually leaving. It takes a while to move from one age to another. Is was filled with concepts of pain and suffering, sacrifice and surrender. The Aquarian /Urnanian ideals and manifestations will have it's own positive and negative inputs to impart as we evolve into it energy. The foreshadowing of many of them are already with us to a limited degree. Each has its time and place in the Divine Plan.
The tarot card which relates to Neptune is the Hanged Man.. symbolizing the surrender to the Highest,, the person on card is sacrificing the Ego and it's limitations. Although being nailed to the Cross of Matter it is is doing it upside down, willing to let go and trust the higher.
