This is in Eckankar. Initiation, the basic sacrament in Eck; the first step on the path of God via the Eck; the structurr upon which thr whole foundation of the spiritual works is built; the means by which the sacred forces within Soul; the awareness of the supernatural state of life.

Hi alvin. I was quite interested in your post and so I logged onto the Eckankar site. I must admit I was sorry to see this appears to be a guru-directed religion of some kind. In the past I have had issues with a similar style of spiritual group. Can you tell me: Is worship of and devotion to Sri Harold Klemp part of one's spiritual regime with Eckankar? Thank you for any clarity you can provide.

We dont worship Sri Hearld Klemp the Mahanta, we respect him. Only the Living Eck Master has the power to iniate, the asended Masters cannot iniate any one no more becaues they dont have a phycial body to channel it, and only the living Master holds the Rod of ECK power from God, which is the word( Holy Spirit) made flesh.He becomes the Sat Guru, the inner and outer Master, if this makes sence to you

Yes the initation is like baptism. Let me explain in my words. There are 12 initations, also called cycles first one when your a member is in the dream state you'll meat the Mahanta who looks like our Master then your connected to the Mahanta the inner Master. After awhile by doing the spiritual exicersises that are in your discors book one receives the 2ed initation which links one up with the Holy Spirit orECK witch we call It. The Light and Sound of God is called the Word has or is like waves coming out of a center goes out through all space and the end of all, all creation and then back to its sorce, God the center this wave were linked to . Then the third has a diferent level for understanding 3rd cycle has to do with the Casual plane we learn of or past lives, so we can work off our karma easer all the outher one's lead up to Mastership anyway one startes to unfold and realize who we are and also everyone else Soul
