“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” ― C.G. Jung
Do you agree of disagree with this Jungian Statement? What are the Psychological and Spiritual ramifications if we feel it is true?

I do agree with Jung's statement. So many people blame other people, God or fate for the circumstances of their life, especially when things go wrong. They either cannot, or refuse to see, that is is their thoughts, actions and choices, that create their reality and the life they lead. To awaken to this realization was for me a life changing moment. At first I felt guilt, and guilt I think is why many would rather stay in denial. To accept responsibility for their actions mean's accepting the blame too, doesn't it. How much easier is it to blame something or someone else. That way you don't have to change or do anything to try to rectify things do you!
But once you do realize that you are the creator of your life, you then as I did, realize that you can do something about it. Especially if the life you are living does not make you happy. In that moment you can decide to either stay as you are, but fully aware of the choice your making and willing to accept the consequences of it. Or you can create a better life for yourself. To me that is what becoming aware; making the unconscious - conscious, is all about.

Hi all, Mr C. Jung, a man obsessed with the depth's of the subconscious and synchronicity. If we accept the law of attraction, and that the subconscious is where all the preprogrammed tapes are kept, our stereotyping, our unconscious reactions, determining our future, sure we could mistake it for fate. Made known to the person through bodily emotions, deep, honest shadow work can give an idea of what is buried to make it conscious, at least then, we know why life is the way it is.
Loved his book , Man and his symbols.

The common definition of 'fate' includes both that which is out of our control, and that which is Destined to happen. 'We meet ourselves time and time again in a thousand disguises on the path of life." - Jung Is this fate? If so, is it both out of our control, and destined to happen? Perhaps the unconscious is Seeking to become conscious, in a thousand ways. Many have said that we seem destined to repeat our mistakes, over and again, until we get them Right; I submit that, within the microcosmic constructs of Grand Complexity, we may not repeat so much as experience Each step a thousand ways before choosing the path which takes us to the Next construct. ...seriously. A lot of more like complex tic-tac-toe than we give it credit for, lol.

Thank you all for your thoughtful responses to the question.
Kaz (Karen) I agree with you about many blaming others and outside beings or forces for their life’s problems they are facing. Instead of really seeing any self-responsibility or ability to change what is happening to some degree. Sometimes it gets clouded a bit to me - because I strongly understand that karma is not all from our present lifetime....but in long run it was our “being” who created it by our thoughts, emotions, and actions. And we are creating new karmic forces both positive or negative by our thoughts, emotions and actions in this life all the time.
I do not see the God Force as a being meriting out punishments or rewards to us.. ... but more like a Mirror reflecting our own self, on multiple levels, reflecting our creations throughout time.
Robert.. I loved Man and his Symbols also,, one thing I wanted to add.... Jung did not see it all from the subconscious -- in my understanding also from the Collective Unconsciousness, that all of humanity holds within themselves.
Touching this reservoir of the collective of shared myths and archetypical forces awakens the higher spiritual forces within ourselves and likewise within Humanity.
I believe we do have certain broad destinies we have chosen to work on in any life... but think the fate in Jung's statement touch more on conditioned karmic patterns we have to face that as you say Mercy: "Many have said that we seem destined to repeat our mistakes, over and again, until we get them Right
