Dispensations Past and Present

Reading recent posts in the forums and thinking about the teachings in my classes makes me wonder about what I read in my old Sunday School classes as a kid. We think "the wisdom of the ages" but admit we live in a different world now. Jehova gave the children of Israel permission to go out and strike their enemies hip and thigh. The Master Jesus suggested we just turn the other cheek in a confrontation.

What is appropriate and how if any has it changed over the ages?

The channelled teachings I am receiving seem to almost mock me with ever complex scenarios. That it would be so and that I would be privy to such information is oft a stunning revelation. If there is more to the world then seen at first glance it also follows there is a history behind events that never seems to end. Events MUST unfold to their destiny!

And you wonder why I find this all very scary at times ...

The question is at what level can we interfere with things? As students and eventually Masters it is our privilege and burden to be a part of everything. That would prevent us from passing judgement as it is only by letting the others play our their individual roads to redemption can they alter their Karma in a beneficial way. We can not do that for them no matter how much we sacrifice our selves.

The best advice I am getting now is RUN. Run for your life! It is NOT you don't want to get involved. I think it means you "see the light" ( at many different levels ) but don't deserve the the disaster about to unfold. If it is not your Karma to get mauled by that bear then why not let the poor little thing alone?

Especially if your enlightened enough to realize it is not you he is after.

An interesting and thought provoking post George. There does seem to be a big contradiction in the message given by God. One preaches that violence is allowed and the other that peace is the only way. May be it is that the action was suited to the times. I don't know, both times were similar in the sense that those who choose a different spiritual path to the traditional way, were persecuted and killed.

I do believe that we are all interconnected and that each of us can often play a part in the karmic lessons that unfold for other's. That try as we might, we cannot save people from themselves. They have to come to understanding in their own time, and through experiences that have come about as a consequence of their own actions. Some things have to be lived, to be understood.

I'm trying to read between the lines of what you've said re 'what is coming'. And I hear what your saying. But a raging beast tends to destroy 'all' in it's path. It is not selective.

As far as I know it is never revealed what is coming. Nor the reason why. But that there would be a reason for everything does connotate one might escape the inevitable if he/she had no reason to experience it. More then one miracle has been known to occur only because we could not find a logical explanation for WHY it happened when it did to whom it effected. So we assumed it was "luck". If that is true then that would mean our time would just have been postponed.

Am I the only one that seems to be redefining everything as fast as I can learn it ?! Even one year ago I wasn't thinking like this ....

Just a thought today...to walk in the knowledge that "something is coming", or even Knowing "what is coming", and to Fear it, is to walk in duality. If no one truly can escape the Inevitable Future, then why not align ourselves and move with the tide?

I suppose the fear of "what is coming" is right up there with fear of Death, fear of the Unknown...what do we have to fear? Do we truly Look to See?



...and yet, here I sit - still afraid of my Mother, if today is any evidence. (She's Coming)
