To Sue, Finally, we have something in common. Every time we try to invite a new friend who passes by, he/she walks away (if not run away!) hahaha. [Sue is one of our friends in the chat room. She’s still so energetic even in her age, 87…huh? 77, yes, 77, sorry.] Today I think of this story but in my own version. The moderator of the new forum put up a sign, “This is a spiritual but not religious forum.”A new member came, and commented, “You don’t need to say, ‘This’; would your forum is somewhere else that is not here?” The moderator agreed and deleted the words, “This is a.” Then, the second member came and commented, “Really? SBNR becomes so cliché now. Why do you have to repeat it?” The moderator thought for a while but still agreed to deleted the words “but not religious.” So there was only “spiritual forum” left on the sign, The third member came, with another comment, “Hmm….frankly speak, I don’t think spirituality has any thing to do with a forum. Forum belongs to a material world, spirituality does not. It’s of individual; it is a journey back inside oneself, not outside!” The moderator was too tired to argue but he really didn’t know which word he should delete it. “Spiritual”or “forum”? Can you help him? -Inspired by the story “Fresh fish sold here today”

If it was me I would scrap all the conventional terms and go for something cryptic if not down right irrelevant. Well the Rosicrucians and the Masons and the Christians did that with the blooming flower, the square and compass, a symbol of a fish. That might lead to some confusion or misunderstanding. It would not be the first time.
In a way I am even looking foward to it.

Hi Gruntal, Thanks for your post. I haven’t joined the chat room for a while because I changed my sleeping time but missing everyone there. And now it’s my time to go to bed. Goodnight. P.S. Glad to see you here, on the forum, again. :-)
