As of lately I've been questioning my 'spiritual' journey and I have a lot of questions going on in my head , maybe a bit too much. I've been thinking should I carry on even when other people around me question nothing as they slowly drift along life , like a zombie , just following the same trends , same opinions for fear of being ridiculed because they are 'different'. Where I live most people just work 5 day's a week then come the weekend they are getting blind drunk and this is apparently called 'letting go' of course it is , keep believing those lies you tell yourself. Only about 25% of people work where I live so the other 75% are just jobless bums who do nothing but drink , do drugs and gamble. What's the point in trying to be different when others just laugh at you for it ? I was going to buy some spiritual books but I'm not sure if they make me think too much but where else am I going to get knowledge from about spiritual journeys ? Most of them say there is another world within this world we just can't see it but if that's the case surely the life we live now is utterly meaningless ? All the material possessions , the money , the brand of clothes etc is just all pointless.

Hi iamhe, Hmmm….you should carry on! Do you know there are less than 2,000 persons who read the most truth about scientific book? So not to mention about the most (real) truth on spirituality. I like this analogy, “A watched pot never boils (some things work out in their own time, so being impatient and constantly checking will just make things seem longer)”. Spiritual way never been easy but it’s priceless for anyone who tries to its end. So, don't pay attention much about other people. We have to focus on our journey. :-)

Hi iamhe, I've never heard of anyone who didn't question their spiritual path from time to time. I think it's just our way of keeping it real and deciding which path is right for us as individuals. It's not easy, but probably best to ignore those who feel the need to laugh at you or give you grief about your spiritual choices. It's your inner journey, not theirs. I've found that when I feel like I'm floundering, it helps me to just take a day or two "off" from major spiritual studies, let the information I have sink in a bit, then I'm calmer and more open to finding and taking the next step. I sure hope you don't give up! Take care Donna

I would love to comment on that, but you never really asked a question.

Questioning your self means you're getting closer:). And even if you are in the spiritual path, you find your self asking this question from time to time. Mostly its when things are not running your way. Only your soul will tell you when is the right time to bring calm and peace to your inner world. And yes...we all have different levels of consciousness. You are the one choosing which suits you most. People around you just like alcoconsciousness

Hello iamhe You are not the only one going through this kind of questioning I was right there just a couple of days ago, at home nobody understands why I am not religious and they judge, criticize and make fun of me or sometimes my own mother says that those books I have are making me crazy or perhaps I am a witch just because of the way I see God. After one of those situations with my family I wondered if I was wrong and there is nothing else but illusions of a life, then right there a light turned on in my mind... Everything is exactly that: an illusion. So I would say carry on and be grateful because thanks to those persons you become stronger... It is normal to feel that you lost your way from time to time. Blessings.
