Hi Newlyawakened and Welcome to the God Light Forum Going by your user name, can I take it that you have recently had a spiritual awakening? Many are awakening to new spiritual revelations and experiences and there definitely seems to be an influx of people searching for an understanding or meaning to their experiences in these recent years. You will find many good people here each with their own experiences to share. You ask: From my own experience and from speaking with others, you will discover your own gifts when the time is right for you. I would advise you not try to rush this either but take your time and allow things to happen naturally, as it is supposed to. By pushing yourself you may slow down your development rather than just allow your spirit to guide you. Do you meditate? Meditation is a wonderful natural tool that can help you to connect with your higher self or soul. There are many methods of meditation and if you find one does not work there are plenty others to try. I personally find meditation a great way of aligning my mind, body and spirit. It takes time and practice, as with anything worth doing right, but it is worth the time and there really is no effort involved. There is a wonderful short guided meditation by Sparklekaz and she is one of the moderators of this forum. Many find guided meditations the best to start off with, as they guide you gently into a relaxed attitude, where you can naturally go into a meditative state. I would be interested to hear more about you and what you have experienced spiritually to date and I’m sure other members would also like to share their experiences with you also. You could also try The God Light chat room which is open daily from 6pm GMT or 1pm EST. www.thegodlight.co.uk/god6.htmBelow is the link to Sparklekaz guided meditation and I hope you enjoy it. And I hope you share a bit more about your own spiritual experiences. Love and Light Cyberangel

Hi Newlyawakened :-) So glad you have come here. As Angel mentioned there are many who enjoy utilizing the forum and the chat room to share experiences and ask questions. I do hope to see more from you. There are so many ways to delve into new and different spiritual talents. What I've found to work well is to think about what draws your attention. Think about what intrigues you. As you begin to dig deeper into what has drawn you to it, you will get a feel for what you like and don't like, and therefore will be able to discern where your talents will be best utilized. Angel gave the excellent suggestion of meditation (and thank you so much, Angel for posting that one from sparklekaz...I had no idea it existed) :-) The one thing I would add to it is that if you're new to meditation, during your search for the right ones for you, listen to them before trying to meditate to them, that way you'll be aware of what's on there and can relax and take it all in when the time comes :-) when I was first starting meditation I ran into quite a few that were not a good match for me so I started pre-listening to them .. no surprises Angel also made the good point that guided meditations are good to start with ... for me, if it isn't guided my mind just tends to wander all over the place Welcome to the forum, I look forward to hearing your experiences, etc. Take care Namaste

Hi angel, Thanks for posting kaz’s video. I feel good to hear the voice of our friends here. Any chance that I could hear the sound of your playing Tibetan bowl? :-)

I agree with luvnlite. Guided meditations were how I started really delving into spirituality. The first ones I listened to were Sylvia Brownes, but it is different for everyone who they reasonate with. Here's a few different "teachers" that I know about: you can check them out and see if they feel good, or if they don't, keep searching. I have not yet meditated much without guided visuals, but if you can that's awesome. That will connect you to the inner you that you are looking for as well Syliva Browne has many Abraham Hicks has one of my favorites, Getting into the Vortex. I think you can find them on You Tube as well. Listen to your gut and follow your instincts. Your guides will help you to find what step you are on and what you are reaching for. Just don't forget to ask them for their help! Peace and Light Helen

Everything in the spiritual world works backwards from the way we think things should happen from the physical point of view. In the physical world we have credit, where you get it now and pay for it later. Spitit does not work like that, you first do the work and all of it, then you get the prize. Like taking courses in Raki, Shamanism, and stuff like that. The study of such things is OK, but to be a true master, you do not go after it, it comes after you.
Just do all that you can to work on yourself, be the best that you can be. The Mystics call it clearing work, Frank Fools Crow called it becoming the hollow bone. Get the crap out and what you hunt for will find you.
