INRI ~ Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum ~ Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews
Dear Friends,
Today I feel very fortunate to live in a time and place where we have the freedom to share our personal beliefs without fear of torture or death. Today made me think just how privileged we are compared to others in the world, and it made me think further to the life and death of Jesus. What if Jesus was living his life now...in our time, what would he be like? Would he have been seen as mad or crazy because he claimed he was the son of God? Would he or could he be tempted by the world as it is now?
The time Jesus lived and the times we live in now are so far apart, both in time and in customs, and yet as far as we have advanced there are still so many whose lives are subjugated and dominated by traditions and doctrines, that is makes it hard for those who are liberated to fully comprehend what life must be truly like for those people.
Thinking about Jesus, makes me think how amazing he must have truly been as a person. To live in a time where word of mouth was the internet of the time, how his life and his presence had such an influence that people are still talking about him to this very day. That alone is quite awesome to think about let alone to think about the impact of his death, which has echoed out throughout the ages and spread so far and wide across our globe.
It is amazing to witness the amount of followers Jesus now has and yet this also makes me feel sad, because I wonder did he really know that one day his message would mean so much to so many, I hope so. I hope he did not feel alone or that he or his message would be forgotten. I am very grateful that Jesus was here and that his spirit is still very much alive. I just didn't want to let this day pass without a thought about this amazing being, and what he did for all of us.
Thank you Jesus for making a path, so each could be free, to seek out and discover their own truth.
Love and Light
