Wrong sequence of videos here? Ok, sorry. Let me correct, “Be brave, West and East! Hoorah!
The more I’m getting old, the more I get a bit coward (urh…the motto, “safety first” never dies, right?) And the following two songs/scenes really help me to be brave and gallant (hmm…though still not every time.) :-)
1. “Take a stand” (from Clash of the Titans, the movie.)
This scene/music and its speech are great, very inspiring.
Perseus gave this cool speech to his fellows before entering Medusa's lair. (Sorry for some vulgar words.)
Why I think it's so inspiring?
Because this inspired speech really could save this inspirer's life himself!
Hmm...though it's sad to say that he was the only one who survived from that Medusa's lair.
2. Laughing over the seas
It’s from a Chinese kung fu movie (Swordsman.) I will not bother you with its title/details here because I myself also know only a few Chinese words. Hahaha. But we knows no bounds when it comes to music, right?
Its lyrics in English is below (sorry that I don’t know how to give credit to those who translated this. Their names were in Chinese.)
The seas laugh,
lashing on both coasts
Carried in the waves,
we have only the presence now
The heaven laughs,
at the troubled world
Only it knows,
who is to win and to lose
The mountains laugh,
the misty rain is afar.
When the waves grow old,
the world still can’t stop going on
The clear winds laugh,
such a feeling of solitude
Bygone camaraderie leaving behind
a tingle of melancholy
The earth laughs,
solitude no more
My sentiments stand,
laughing still.
