Somehow I liked this song even before I knew that Cohen wrote it when he was ordained as a zen monk. Yes, nameless and name, formless and form was very familiar to me. It's very Zen.(Śūnyatā-emptiness) Hope you enjoy it. The light came through the window, Straight from the sun above, And so inside my little room There plunged the rays of love.
In streams of light I clearly saw The dust you seldom see, Out of which the nameless makes A name for one like me.
I'll try to say a little more: Love went on and on Until it reached an open door Then love itself Love itself was gone.
All busy in the sunlight The flecks did float and dance, And I was tumbled up with them In formless circumstance.
I'll try to say a little more: Love went on and on Until it reached an open door Then love itself Love itself was gone.
Then I came back from where I'd been. My room, it looked the same But there was nothing left between The nameless and the name.
All busy in the sunlight The flecks did float and dance, And I was tumbled up with them In formless circumstance.
I'll try to say a little more: Love went on and on Until it reached an open door Then love itself, Love itself was gone. Love itself was gone.

Thank you Donq for posting this. I have always been a fan on Leonard Coen but I have never heard this song before (strangly) but it is beautiful.
LOVE and Light <3

Thanks for your response, Angel. I'm glad you like it.:-)
First I was going to post "Summertime" by Sharon Robison, but was frraid that it might have nothing to do with our forum. hahaha. Anyway, I think you will like it, too. As you may already know that she was frequent writing collaborator and sing with Leonard Cohen, she wrote this song together with him, too. Try to pick one that comes with sea/beach views on youtube. It's very relaxing song to hear and relaxing views to watch. :-)
Summertime when will you come? I wanna put my light things on I wanna put my winter life away Summertime I need a sunny day
I want those peaches on the table Want the watermelon red And the warm sun creeping through the window To ease me out of bed
I want the sand out there to lie on And the sea out there to swim So my heart can take a holiday...
And I want to drive forever Wanna roll my windows down Get the breeze back on my body Get my feet back on the ground...

Hi Donq I would like to share this song with you but don’t listen to it as a love song between people, but I would like you to listen to it as a spiritual song. When I listen to this song I think of the lyrics as my SOUL and HEART singing a love letter to each other. I absolutely love the lyrics of the song and the rhapsody of the music and every time I hear it, it feels like my soul is hugging me from within. I hope you enjoy it my friend and can feel your soul hug you too Love and Light

Hi Angel,
Yes, so soft and tender song. Like interplay between yin and yang. Thanks for sharing. :-)
