Everyone that is born on this world was created with a purpose and a vision for their life. The only problem that we have is that as we are growing up this world that we live in, it puts us to sleep and cuts us off from our inner guidance. We loose authentic self, that which we were created to be. It is really hard to find yourself in a world that wants you to be part of it, a world that does not like change, a world that traps us and enslaves us in debt before we can get our bearings. And this leaves us no time to look into what is really important in this life that we have been gifted with. We can not have peace and fulfillment in our lives if we do not know our vision and purpose. If you want joy and bliss in your life you are going to have to take the time to figure a few things out. Each person on this world is different and each persons journey through life is different, so it also stands to reason that our windows of opportunity to find our vision and purpose are all happening at different times during our life. Some of us are lucky and we are born into our vision and purpose. These people are very rare. There are also those people who only have one window of opportunity or chance to find what they came to this world to do with their life. And their are others like myself who have had many windows of opportunity during their lifetime to find their vision and purpose for this life. Do you remember the movie City Slickers where the the old cowboy Curley held up his finger and told the city boys to find that one thing that would make them happy and complete. And then go out and become it, or just do it. How many well off people do you know around you that are the most miserable human beings? How many people over the age of 50 do you know that are consumed by the BIG EMPTY that tries to grow in us all? Do you remember the 50’s 60’s and 70’ when our generations tried to bring change to this world and the older generations shut us down out of fear, the fear of change and the unknown. The Christians teacher Jesus said: And the child shall lead them. Have you ever thought that when we put our children to sleep and then we do not help them find their vision and purpose for life, that just maybe are spitting in the face of God. Could we be telling the Creator that it’s gifts are not good enough for us.

Dear Ishtahota,
I really enjoyed reading your post. I can relate to what you have said, as I'm sure many others will too. There will always be people who seem to naturally look below the surface of life. These I feel are old souls and it is something they have carried forward with them from previous lives. But for the most part, I guess many get caught up in every day life and the pressure to make a living and provide for their families. This is necessary, because even if we earn a living differently these days from the way of our hunter gatherer ancestors. It is a loving duty and responsibility, to take care and provide for those we love. Because of the stress many are under, it does seem to leave little time for much philosophical introspection or spiritual reflection. But I do believe things have changed a lot compared to how things were, say twenty years ago.
Nowadays, many people are interested in alternative therapies, sometimes preferring the holistic (whole body) route then traditional treatments and medicine. Meditation, reading books and attending workshops that help an individual develop personal and spiritual growth. Doctors are now realising the very real connection between physical health and mental/emotional/spiritual well being and harmony and so are not so quick to reach for the pescription pad;And will consider less invasive or medicinal approaches, such as therapy and counseling.
Even so, I realise that there are many people still stuck. Their lives causing them to boil over with a build up of tension and stress, and suprisingly still uninformed and ignorant of the help available, or just that there is another way of thinking that can change their perspective of life in a helpful and positive way. I totally agree with you that our children if not guided differently from a young age, will only grow up destined to suffer as their grandparents and parents have. For me, I see schools have a very powerful role to play in ensuring young minds stay open and receptive to new idea's. Because of my own spiritual interests, my children grew up being regularly exposed to my thoughts and idea's about life and healing and often watched me giving reiki.
I never forced them to believe as I did, but did encourage their interest and answered any questions they had. I always told them that the world was a wonderful place with many things that could not be explained, but were still no less true because of that. To make their own minds up about things through their own experiences. To listen to their gut instincts. To trust their intuition more and to understand the relationship between pressure and how their minds and bodies reacted. All three are sensitive to and can feel energy. I am a great believer in allowing young minds to explore and learn in their own way. Without I hope foisting my beliefs on them. Is there really any other way!!
A very interesting post Ishtahota. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Love and light Kaz
