I fellt (for lack of better word) my higher self through a dream. Thus, it became a "knowing" by experience. I had read many books on spirituality, even practised it through some 12-step groups. But it was not until the dream that I became aware of my Higher Self (or Life between Life if you will). Basically my Higher Self was 1000 times more mature, wise, understanding, calm etc. That is the closest I come in describing it. I was wondering then, if you could share if you have experienced your Higher Self, and if so, how did it come about? Psychic? Meditation? Prayer? Pain? Thanx for any reply  -Jonas |

The Higher Self relates to our Soul, I dont think I have noticed when I dream, Im smarter or wiser, but at times Soul(me) goes to a Temple of Wisdom to learn, but when I wake up, I dont remember nothing,, I believe its a blessing to be guided by the Higher Self, but most people even my self ( the lower self) lets the mind get in the way

Thanx for any reply -Jonas The higher self is the soul. Our souls are made of and reside on the mental plane. They connect to us through a gossamer thread. Yes... the soul is like the puppet master to it's reflection which is the physical man on Earth. As we experience and learn the soul benefits. The goal is for the soul to achieve enough wisdom over the thousands of years of it's involvement with the Earth so that it can become "godlike" and move on to greater challenges. Yes... reincarnation is correct. We only live once but our souls use many, many Earth lives, each with a different and distinct body and personality before it's goal is achieved. It should be no surprise to find that your overself is wise. The acquisition of wisdom is exactly the immediate objective of it's existence. We supply it through the trials of ordinary living here on this planet. What we learn goes to our souls where it is used. For a very long time the man on Earth is unaware of the existence of the soul but we eventually become attuned enough to realize it. It is good that you are but do not make any more of it than it really is. You might develop a stronger bond through meditation. If so work to remain emotionally neutral. The soul purpose is not helped with the man below seeks to aggrandize himself through soul contact. Learning the habit of humility and selflessness is a very good idea. Psychic ability is usually limited to the astral and below. Ordinary psychic ability is nothing to do with the soul. Avoid this practice if you agree. Meditation and prayer are so similar that they serve the same purpose. It is interesting to note here that we humans never make any contact, even when a prayer is answered, which does not come to us through our soul. So soul contact is good. Finally... avoid expectations. Just let it be. (like John Lennon said). I know the above from personal experience. |

Maybe the moment we try to think that we are the higher self, it becomes totally different to what it may ment to be, some say its ego, does ego get in the way of higher self, or just thinking in general stops the higher self from being in tune. Buddha was once asked, why dont you talk about god? Buddha remained humble and stayed silent |
