A Spiritual Awakening

Do you believe that the 'veil' between physical reality and spiritual reality is thinning? There has been much discussion about how mankind is becoming more spiritually aware. Do you believe this is so? Do you believe you are experiencing a spiritual awakening or have gone through one? I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this subject.

It is hard to say because the constraints of things physical distract us from anything cerebrial or spiritual. On the other hand in the absence of a really trumatic life encounter there is nothing to goad us into going beyond the mundane. The loss of a loved one might be an exception - but even then the luxery of bestowing so much love and effection on anything assumes we were not desparate for survival.

We currently make pets out of things we needed in the past for nourishment!

I still think there were always a few that looked at things in a certain way or made unconventional judgements. I remember as a kid being pathologically shy and unable to use the playground equipment. I was also genuinely dismayed to see my fellow class mates so selfish and short sighted. Plus they were mean! I did not enjoy being a kid. But as to rather I was superior to any of them is debatable even as modern civilization seems to make us better with actually putting out any effort.

Being a wimp is not the same as being angelic. Seeing the light does not change things if you are still afraid.

Or to put it more bluntly: the human race is not producing anything near as successfull as predicted. If that was an indication of spiritual advancement I would say we havn't progressed much at all.

The veil is lifted to promote vision. It is not a means to separate realities because there is only one reality. The other we made in time and is not real. To be real is to be true. To be true is to be unalterable or unchangeable. Reality is.

To say this aspect of Yourself has become enlightened is true. In time more will see me as I am. The agent is pain. To be hostage to what is not true will result in pain. To "believe" you are a body and separate from your father is to "believe" in death. In this sin you will receive your wage.

You have a high tolerance to pain but it is not without limit. Soon all will realize there must be a better way. They will call out to knowledge and it will seek them out. To receive knowledge you must meet the conditions of knowledge...

You can't "believe" you know.....

I believe it is thinning, that is my experience in my awakening.
The simple reason is probably because our civilization/earth/species is in unprecedently dangerous state. On the brink of extinction perhaps. It is a harsh statement, but we should embrace the truth regardless if we like it or not.
