Hi Lorraine, I can recognise a few but will have to check my crystal bible for the others. Crystal D looks like orange or yellow calcite Crystal G looks like Kunzite (you'd know if it was Rose Quartz) Crystal H looks like Labrodite (comes in green, blue or a mix) Crystal K looks like Sugalite Crystal L looks like Hematite Crystal N looks like Rhodocrosite Crystal P looks like Tigers Eye Crystal Q looks like Blood Stone Crystal P looks like a clear quartz ( they can sometimes like misty or have facets inside) I recognise the others, but can't think of their names, so will have to consult my crystal bible, and get back to you. Love and light Kaz

Thank you so much Kaz for your help for so long I have wondered about some of them. I bought them in different places because they appealed to me or because they caught my eye, but unfortunately none came with an identity. The last one I think is clear quartz and I use it most often as it feels the most powerful vibration, but that is probably down to me carrying it around with me most, so I guess I am adding to its vibration. I am very grateful for your help with this Kaz as I would love to know more about them, so I may learn and hopefully tune into their vibrations and most importantly learn to use them correctly, instead of guessing. Thanks again, Love and Light x x x

Hi Lorraine, The reason why the clear quartz crystal feels the most powerful, is because it is a very powerful amphlifyer of energy. Some say it can enhance our energy up to 300 times. I used to carry mine with me when I was feeling tired and sluggish and had a job to do, that needed me to be clear headed, focused and energised. It used to work every time for me. I wouldn't recommend you wearing it for bed or having it near your bed. You wont be able to sleep and when you do, your dreams will be active lol Crystal E looks like Banded Agate Crystal O looks like Howlite It is late here now, but I will get back to you when I've figured the others out. Love and light Kaz

Howlite is a borate mineral and sometimes associated with borax mines. Oddly it was never considered commercially viable by itself and was discarded by the miners and left on the mine dumps. Lapidary hobbyists found it too soft and hard to polish. Howlite rarely crystalized although some crystals were reported at Tick Canyon, Los Angeles County, California, U.S.A.
Such a grubby mineral at such an ugly town! Tick Canyon?! The name alone would scare you away. Actually I havn't been to the old abandoned borax mine at Tick Canyon in about 30 years but it was short pleasant trip from Southern California and surprisingly fun to explore. There were zeolites such as natrolite but back in the hills was evidence of past vulcanic activity and really nice serpentine veins. A lot of sand suggested past water erosion and I assumed there were fossiles there too if in the past animals passed by for a drink. A lot went on there over the ages and the incongruity was delightfull. I would explore and wonder while my parents were rummaging the mine dumps and dodging the rattle snakes.
The howlite I saw was pure white although it could have grey veins. An obvious characteristic is Howlite is so soft and semi-porous you can easily paint pictures on it. Nobody around here was much interested is making howlite jewery because is was so common but every rock show had at least a few " howlite paintings ".
It never occurred to me anything at Tick Canyon would some day become exotic ..........ahh well!

Tumbled stones (as all but the last of these are) are at times more difficult to identify, because sometimes a crystalline stone (such as Quartz, Danburite, Tourmaline, Selenite, Kunzite) is tumbled and the crystaline structure is hidden as a result. Transparent and translucent tumbled stones, from what I've seen, often fit the above.
Al;so, holding a stone helps with identifying it, because the weight of the stone often yields clues.
At any rate, here are my suggestions:
A.) Looks like Chevron Amethyst
B.) Some kind of Jasper
C.) Can't say why, but it "feels" like Blood Stone. They lose color when used up, so, even though it doesn't look green with red veins, it could still be.
D.) Calcite
E.) No idea what it is.
F.) Picture Jasper
G.) Rose Quartz
H.) No idea what it is.
I.) Some kind of Jasper
J.) Some kind of Jasper
K.) Amethyst
L.) If it's heavy, it's Hematite
M.) Could be Tourmline or Emerald
N.) Carnelian or Jasper
O.) Selenite or maybe Howlite
P.) Ironstone or Tigereye
Q.) I dunno.
R.) Clear Quartz

Kaz, I think you're right about Rhodocrosite being in the group, but I think J is more like it.
Seriously doubt the Sugilite suggestion, however. I have and have had a lot of Sugilite and the best has a "gel" look, which is different from "translucent". And it's virtually always Purple, or Purple with Black.
H could possibly be Aventurine.

Hi all thank you so so so much for all your help with trying to identify my crystal stones. I agree with a lot of what you have said and I am happy with your conclusions. I thought that maybe crystal Q could maybe be Red Jasper or a variation of it. Crystal L I thought myself was Hematite but it is extremely 'light' if anything, and almost feels like plastic to hold and feel, but it is indeed some kind of stone, although a very light one, I was even thinking it was some form of moulton glass but its even lighter than that, still confused. I agree with Holistic on Crystal K I too think this is Amethyst. My thinking was that crystal H was blood stone and Crystal C was a smoky quartz but that was just guessing and I have no idea. I love the F and I stones, particular I, it feels wonderful to hold and gives off a calm very peaceful vibration, I like to use this stone in visual meditation. Once again thank you all so much for sharing. I have much to read up on now and to learn about these little gems much love and light xxx
