Hi, Leon and Kaz.
I've been looking for a list of rules for this forum, brought on in regard to Leon's post to me about not posting links to external sites here. I want a clear understanding of policy in that regard and can't seem to find anything.
Can you point me in the right direction?
For that record: I totally understand the reasoning behind a policy to not link to sites which have something to sell. But I'm not clear with regard to other categories. I posted a link to a site that had information with regard to "Cellular Memory" in the thread about organ transplants and karma a few days ago. And as far as I know, that site is informational only- much like Wikipedia, etc. And yet that link was edited out by Leon.
If there are NO links allowed, let me know. However, the sub- categories of "Spiritual Videos" and "Spiritual Music" would seem to be contradictory to such a rule, since they are largely linked videos from YouTube, etc., by both administrators and members here.
And by the way, Leon. In checking out the posts under those categories that you and others made, they either show nothing, or they show HTML for a link that seems to be broken- especially if they are over a year old. So perhaps going back to examine them and refresh periodically would be a good idea. (I have been doing the same in that regard.)
Thanks.

We do not allow links at all friend, the forum has the same rules as the chat room. The only links we will allow are wikipedia links. Everything else we delete without checking. We get a high volume of spam, and we do not have time to check out each link individually. We also would lose more members than we gained if we allowed people to link to any old site. The problem got so bad, we was spending more time dealing with spam than actually posting on the forum ourselves. As we are found top of google for spirituality, we are prime to get a lot of interest from people who have nothing better to do than put links all over sites. Because of the trouble in the past, we have decided to have a zero tolerance across the site for all links, bar the wiki links as I have mentioned, even then we prefer people to copy and paste a few words from wiki and state its not their words. Youtube videos are ok, as long as you do not overdo it or put videos on from sites similar to our own. I can see who leaves the site by whatever link, that is how I find any hidden links. I know all of this may be an inconvenience to some, yet is an even bigger inconvenience to us, when we have to delete links daily for kitchens or mobile phones.
We have had many people overtime hang about our group, trying to message others to get them to other sites, I cannot explain the effects it has had on the group. In the past we have had to even ban admins, who were busy trying to fill other sites with our members. When you have to ban 10 admins and 50 members in one day, finding them all on another site run by one of our so called trusted admins, you will understand why we take this serious.
I am being honest here to spell out the reasons why we go to the lengths that we do, I hope you understand.

Wow! I had no idea. Sounds like some people were definitely not acting out of real integrity there. It's difficult to imagine board members and admins being so under- handed. But I've definitely encountered some supposedly "spiritual" people who made me scratch my head.
I'll be sure to follow the "Wikipedia rule". I try to "make a case", so to speak, when answering or starting a thread. And that means stating when what I'm saying is opinion, or based upon experience, or something I've read (which is where links would come into play) that makes sense and resonates, etc.
For the record: I have no commercial interests in my participation here, nor do I work for, nor am I affiliated with such as some kind of marketing agent for them, etc., nor will I be in the future.
My affiliations with the healing modalities I have described elsewhere are as a practitioner- not as a representative of them in any other capacity.

Thanks for understanding friend, You write well and its your words that matter, not anything else. We went from a chat room open 24/7 with 30 odd admins that had an attendance over 20+ all day long to what we are now. Due to several people wishing to haunt the site looking to fill their own groups with our members. We even had people hack the email list and tell every member the site was closed and gave a link for a new site, their site. I have met some of the most unspiritual people along the way running this site. The majority of people have been wonderful, yet it only takes a few with other ideas to ruin things for everyone. Sadly for some spirituality is more about the ego and becoming someone, rather than helping each other achieve happiness.
By the way, every site that has tried to steal members has gone bust over time. We are still here and will never close. If you build things on falseness, it will never last. Imagine it a site full of people who are banned from other sites, or only found it through spam. It is an odd mix and a recipe for disaster. A site full of big ego's everyone ready to con the man standing next to him. It reminds me of the tv series that Kevin Bacon is in, The Following.. Basically a serial killer, has a mass following who will do anything he asks. They also are murderers, rapists and the evil of society, all wishing for the same thing. In the same way they all end up turning on each other, and instead of just falling out, they end up killing each other and causing mayhem. You cannot run a group with people who only care about themselves, it will turn ugly in the end, if you let everyone do as they please.

I'm familiar with the TV show, "The Following". And you're right about it. One thing that we learn along the way in doing SRT is that one specific trait of darkness is that it will attack itself. There is no such thing as loyalty. Keep focused on the good in people and don't let the bad experiences you have along the way lower your expectations- and vibration- to a place of fear. Other's negative stuff is self- defeating and will take care of itself in time.
