Spirit Releasement Therapy is a type of alternative therapy that addresses the concept of "spirit attachment", in which a person is believed to have an attached spirit or entity.
Typically carried out via hypnosis or light hypnosis, the releasement process is also performed with the use of various dowsing instruments by some practitioners. With the hypnosis / light trance method, the client is directed to get in touch with the attached intelligence and speak for the intelligence as the therapist asks it questions and carries on a conversation with it. With the dowsing method, the therapist asks a series of "Yes." or "No.", and other such affirmative and negative questions, while carrying out dowsing or muscle- testing techniques to confirm each step in the process.
"Remote" Spirit Releasement can also be done, using a surrogate for the client, a medium to observe and report findings and progress, or a dowsing method coupled with "Yes or No", "quantitative" (i.e., "more than X amount / less than X amount) and other "binary" questions being asked.

Hi Holistic,
This technique sounds very interesting.
I would like to ask a couple of questions about it if I may. Before starting this process of dowsing.
1. What criteria does the healer use to establish whether or not a person may have a attachment? To differentiate between a real attachment, or someone is suffering from some kind of emotional/mental health illness.
2. Once it is established that there is an attachment. What kind of questions would the healer ask?
3. How does the healer go about removing the attachment?
4. Is there any kind of follow up to check on the client after the removal proceedure is done?
Love and light Kaz

1. What criteria does the healer use to establish whether or not a person may have a attachment? To differentiate between a real attachment, or someone is suffering from some kind of emotional/mental health illness. The first thing is that the client comes in with various complaints- feeling tired or "drained", not feeling grounded, having sudden onset of physical or emotional symptoms (aches with no obvious source), hearing voices (especially if they don't feel like "self- talk"), having unusual thoughts (violence, depression, suicide) or cravings (drugs, alcohol, sexual) - which are not "normal" for that person. The following is related specifically to the "dowsing" approach as I've sen it done several times.I've seen this done with a pendulum and I've seen it done with muscle testing. The "binary" (as I refer to "true or false" questions) typically go like this: "I have a spirit attachment." "I do not have a spirit attachment." "The source of this is me." "The source of this is not me." "This attachment has had it's own human body before. "This attachment has not had it's own human body before." "There is more than one attachment." "There is less than five attachments." "The attachment is male." "The attachment is female." "The attachment formed during my current lifetime." "The attachment has been with me for more than this lifetime.". And so on... 2. Once it is established that there is an attachment. What kind of questions would the healer ask? See above. Generally, it's determined if the attachment is an earthbound spirit, some other entity, male / female, how many there are, when the relationship was formed, etc. Look at it this way: You're looking for a number and you don't know what it is. (It's 24) You can ask "more than / less than" questions to get the number. More than 1 (Yes.) More than 10 (Yes.) More than 30 (No.) More than 25 (No.) More than 20 (Yes.) More than 22 (Yes.) More than 23 (Yes.) More than 24 (No.) Less than 25 (Yes.) 3. How does the healer go about removing the attachment? Using the dowsing method, Angels are called in and asked to do the work. Then the questions are asked again and tested again. If a pendulum is used, it typically continues to move until the work is done. 4. Is there any kind of follow up to check on the client after the removal proceedure is done? Depends upon who does the work. Most competent therapists do follow up with a phone call or E-mail. Some schedule a follow- up via phone or in person meeting. The light hypnosis / bridge technique is different. It's more dialogue- based. It's the one I do and have more direct, personal experience with. I'll write about it later. It will involve more detail and time. And I'm at work now, about to leave for home. So, more on that method later.

The thing is, a competent therapist doesn't assume anything. For instance, if a client comes in, to assume that they have "company" places an expectation there that is akin to "leading the witness" in court.
SRT is best thought of as an adjunct to PLT (past life therapy). And PLT itself- if the therapist goes into session with the client expecting past- life causes- can become another case of "leading the witness".
I prefer the dialogue approach because:
1.) It suits me more than dowsing. I trust it, because all of the information comes from the client. I have used pendulums before, but not for PLT / SRT. To me, dowsing is, for lack of a better way to say it- ambiguous. This isn't to say it's not well- suited in someone else's tool box.
2.) I was actually trained in it.
3.) I've done enough sessions, that I've seen immediate and undeniable results.

4.) The client's conscious participation and awareness of the content of the information (unlike a releasement done via dowsing) ensures that they "get the lesson" associated with the experience. This is important because it contributes to their growth and becomes a part of who they are. It's also important because a conscious decision on the part of the client as a result of getting such a lesson can be all that's needed for the karma associated with that lesson to be completed.
(Karma isn't about "punishment", but about "balance". Once the lesson is learned and internalized, balance is often achieved.)
I met a Chinese "master" once who did "karma clearings". He would look at the person and determine how much effort it would take him to clear their karma, and write a price on a piece of paper. That price was, from what I saw, always in the hundreds of Dollars. Supposedly, he had been given a special ability from God, to assess and clear- for a fee.
My first thought was that he was full of bunk. Nice guy, he actually seemed to believe it. So, maybe he did believe it. I dunno.
But what I do know is that Karma serves a purpose essential to our growth. Even if I could pay someone a few hundred dollars to reset mine to "Zero", so that I would be free from the cycle of rebirth (as this guy claimed), I wouldn't.
I see the dowsing method of entity releasement in a similar manner.
