The movie Life of Pi deals with a lot of spiritual themes. I like how it approaches the idea of different religions as God telling the same story different ways. Not to give too much of the plot away, but hes seems to be in a state of surrender to God throughout the film. The word surrender seems to conjure up images of weakness from ideas I had when I was younger. But his state of surrender is what gave him his strength and courage. I also noticed that this movie took place mostly on water. That and his name (his full name that you find out in the film) remind me of Pisces which is governed by Neptune. Neptune having to do with storytelling and imagination makes sense in the context of the film. I think each person will get something different from this film.
