Many years ago, I heard a pastor teach on this, and he made a very good point.
He asked, "Who is the opposite of God?" Many people shouted out, "The devil!" The pastor immediately said, "You're wrong. The devil is a being originally created by God. In order to be opposite, he would also have to be equal. Two opposing forces have to be equal in power. God is the only uncreated being in the universe. The devil, as a created being, cannot be his opposite." He went on to explain that, as an uncreated being, God has no opposite.
I found this to be a very insightful revelation. I spent a lot of time afterward meditating on this.

Hello Sapphirayael ...
Everyone will have their own thoughts about this, but for myself, there is no such thing as the Devil, as it was the church itself who created it and needed it just so it could have a better grip on the people. If one wants to point out the whereabouts of the devil than let them point to the “ego” - because it’s the ego that causes all the misery in the world by leading man down the wrong path, "Always."

Christians seem to have a hard time with evil. Plus that might be concieved as a standing refutation of the "all loving" being that watches over us all. The contradiction; as is a lot of contradictions, lies a lot in our preceptions and less on reality.
If everything is dichotomized then could there ever be anything that was pure; never ambivalent; always singular in it's existence; of unvarying continence. That it would be so connotates a stern foundation that could only be manifested in poles; like climbing the Great Pyramid the top would no longer be defined by anything even as it would define everything below it. At some point there would be no good or evil; just something that is that could never be denied.
At some level it might be disturbing that G*d could not take sides. Some friend! But then again if He could He might not decide to befriend us and that does not seem to be possible even for G*d. That we would be capable of doing such bad or destructive things is only our perogitive - as is our ability to later agonize over that. Some study maths and scientific dogmas and declare they see no god. I guess because they didn't stop to think ultimate law and order was itself a sure sign of a Cosmic diety.
One fraternity even adopted the carpenters square as it's official emblem but that is another story.

As for evil, there’s certainly plenty of that in the world. If some say there is no such thing then they need to correct their vision. The things man is capable of doing to his fellow human being and to animal is deplorable and they do not deserve the body they inhabit. I know without doubt that devils and demons do exist. But a (Satan – Lucifer etc) which rules as the supreme dark and evil entity at the other end of the scale of God, that I do not accept.
These demons and devils can be seen by (clairvoyance) - usually in the appearance they had in the last incarnation or in the form of a black energy, and sometimes they can and will take on another's appearance.

Totally agree. I've seen them and via SRT conducted therapy sessions that focused on them. It's interesting that in Kabbalistic tradition, the "Adversary" is considered to be a "faithful servant of God", ultimately serving a purpose of providing tests we must pass.
