Demons, Ghosts real or not? lets inquire!

Okay so one God concept of mine that i truly feel to be on the path of truth explains lots of things in life. But the one thing still left in the dark is the existence of Demons and Ghosts. Now i have good reason to believe ghost exist. Demons i'm not so sure, but i cannot find it within myself to deny something that's believed to existed since the dawn of humanity. I am by no means a Christian so the whole devil and fallen angels story doesn't work for me. Anyone got some theories.

Maybe ghosts and spirits are experiences of people we met in our past lives, that return as a result of unresolved karma. Just a thought.

With regards to demons, there is an idea called the Great Chain of Being, accepted by ancient Greek philosophers, many religions, and others. The idea is that God is the most real being, being absolute existence/consciousness. From God emanates other beings that are less real or less conscious. These are the minor deities/angels, then humans, animals, living matter, and nonliving matter. Furthest from God, and thus least real, are Satan and his minions. But because they're the least real on the chain, they don't exist! This is tied up with the idea that evil is a lack of good, or a privation.

So this suggests to me that if demons do exist, they're inner demons of ignorance and fear.

To me we live in a multidimensional existence. The vibrational plane of consciousness called the Astral Plane by many spiritual schools is filled with beings of a lower or higher nature. These lower dimensions of the astral are filled with semi-intelligent beings, shells or left over thought forms of what you talk about. We don't have to fear them if we live mostly in the light. Our auric vibrations we give off attracts us to the level of consciousness we dwell on. Our thoughts, emotions and actions we are creating forms our Astral and Mental fields.

Beings who lived a "not so positive existence" while in incarnation are said to dwell for a certain period of time in these "vibrationally" lower realms. They like to hang-out in places on earth and close to people who resonate at their own level.

Also those fool hardy enough who attract them by their wrong ways of living and thinking, and by venturing in wrong territories and - by mixing with the wrong crowd. And yet there are those who are some ways along the path which are at times attacked by lower enties. These dark souls try very hard to deter one from reaching their goal, but little do they realise that they are doing that one a great favour by bringing out the best in them. In other words, the one who is progressing is tested at times in their faith, which is a power within itself.

Great thoughts people, thank you! On the topic of demons i myself have had no physical experience with them. the closest thing to a demon that i have encountered would be through dreams that i have. Now the dreams were very real but still a dream is a dream and not part of this physical reality according to modern science. Multiple times I've been approached by demons in my dreams and they have tried to posses me. Since realizing what many refer to as the "true self", i was no longer stricken by fear in my dream. In fact the last one i had, i looked the demon in its gruesome face and smiled as it tried to enter my body I woke up as the demon left after a failed attempt on taking control of me in my dream.Which i will add i woke up with a strange tingling feeling in my head.

Im not sure If I can conceptualize the ideology behind ghosts and spirits.. A friend and I were discussing this very thing..

It is my opinion that any consciousness outside this earth/human experience is separate from the experience and our ability to perceive it from a physical sense (sight, sound, feeling), but I suppose an apparition or ghost could be a conscious manifestation of a multidimensional consciousness, but there would I assume be ties of sorts to the observer..

This may not seem relevant but so far as I've considered I think its possible that there are things that could be considered demons/ghosts. Making an example of a tree here, though we need to assume it has some form of consciousness inherent.

If I have an axe and cut down the tree, it has not physical senses of the world around it, so far as logic would say. It wouldn't be able to see me, or know it was me that cut the tree down. Resulting in an awareness of itself fading gradually from its life. So for this lets assume that its perception of me, is solely its awareness/life fading out.

Shows the limits of perception, and how in this instance it was unable to know my shape or form, it technically could apply a shape or form, but that form would likely be inaccurate or far from the truth as its never had eyes, nose, ears or mouth it would be unable to know (in theory) what those senses looked like.

With regards to demons and ghosts, I think many times its plausible they could be, but until we are open to such things its not worth worrying about demons. Nine times out of ten such things could be put down too bacteria, a few instances things might appear more then just a coincidence but the cause behind those things would be inherently created by us and given whatever definitions the mind can conceive to imagine it. I think sometimes being self-fulfilling.

The universe is pretty huge though, and theres plenty of odd things which when it comes to life's experience of can't be simplified to such things as how a tree might see the world.

Age is an example from a human perspective, I believe in life after death, though I also believe everything changes form to become something new. I've spent much of my life consuming other life forms, if at some point I'm consumed as well, then whatever makes me myself would become a part of that new creature. Or my spirit which can't be summed up in the above way, would pass on to the spirit world.

(I'm conflicted with this things of course, but I think anything is possible)

Hi Shane,

A good post you've started, with some very interesting responses.

I agree with Ace's explanation about lower spiritual energies. Spirit for the most part are the energies of 'people' who have shed their physical bodies. So just as in life, you may encounter people who have very aggressive and destructive natures, in spirit form you may come across the same type. Who because of the ugliness of their nature, could project an image of themselves that is also ugly, and which might appear demonic in form. Over time there have been descriptions of energy forms that have been very base and I think if you accept the existance of higher spiritual forms such as Angels or spiritual guides and masters, we have to consider the existence of their opposite.

To cosmic. I can understand how the idea of spirits may seem extreme or implausable, if you have never encountered one or had a experience of that type. It is one of those things that is hard to take on face value. To be honest, many who have actually seen them, often doubt their own eyes afterwards. I have seen and felt spirit, but will always rule out any logical explanation first, before assuming what I have experienced is supernatural.

You ask, why would they come back. Well it is not always a case of them 'coming back'. There are a few explanations for people seeing spirit, that is not a literal visitation. One can be that a 'sensitive' person may pick up the left over energies of a place and see a scene from the past. Which replays like a scene from a film, that keeps on repeating. This often happens at places where something very emotionally charged happened. I am sure you yourself at some point in time, have had the experience of walking into a house, or a place and 'felt' either uneasy, or a sense of familiarity. What you are doing is picking up on the energy of the place. Another situation which illustrates how people are sensitive to 'atmosphere' is when you enter a room, and feel extreme tension. Even though the people around you are acting normally. This is very common, where there has been incidences of heated emotional exchanges between people. I could go on about the auric or electro magnetic energy fields that all living things emanate, and how inanimate objects hold energy; But that is a whole topic in itself. You might find it interesting to do some research or reading about it.

Spirit visitations can come in lots of different ways. Not just seeing, but sensing. Often spirit come back because they have something they want to share, that they didn't get the chance to do when alive. If only to say goodbye and to reassure their loved ones that they are ok and live on, albeit in a different form. I think its important for us to have these experiences, because each time we share it with others, it does go some way in affirming the continuation of 'life'. Because I do believe that death is simply a doorway to the next stage of our journey, and not the end at all.

To shane, yes I think many of us have had those nightmarish dreams where we have encountered demonic or even normal images that seem to morph into something grotesque and evil. My thoughts on this for the most part, that this phenomena in dreams, is simply our fears given form. I always say that nightmares are the most powerful and learning dreams we receive, even if they are the most frightening. I believe, these dreams that come to help us to face our fears, as you did in your dream Shane. Dreams are often used as a place in which we can act out our deepest fears and overcome them.

A quick example, I have always been afraid of stray dogs. I love dogs in waking life, but having been bitten by a stray as a child, I have always been fearful of one out on its own. Will literally cross the road, or go back home to avoid one. I had a very vivid dream about confronting a snarling dog, which appeared as a huge wolf, with red scary eyes and the biggest teeth you ever saw.

I was in the countryside and had been in the garden of a pretty country cottage. I tried to get away from this wolf, but it had me trapped. Every second I kept on expecting it to sink its big teeth in me. One minute I was panicking like mad, then I thought to myself, I have to face this. I can defend myself. So I turned around an stared it down. I remember thinking I would push it away from me with my own energy. I was as powerful if more so then this wolf. He crept closer and closer to me and I stood my ground. Committed now to facing it. I put out my hand and I stroked it. His fur was thick and very soft, and his eyes suddenly turned from red to blue. He licked my hand then turned away and walked off. As I followed him with my eyes, he appeared to dissolve and become an old man who turned to me and smiled and waved then disappeared. I knew then without words, that I had past a test, one of facing my fears. I woke up from that dream feeling so good, and whilst I can't say I've completely overcome my fear of stray dogs, but its much better.

HI all,

I would like to add another few comments on the what Ghosts can be.

We are multidimensional beings. We also have different "form" fields of consciousness. Our physical level of consciousness is described in terms as having the physical physical and then the etheric energy body which is intertwined with it. This etheric energy body or chi body is the where the lowest level of the chakras reside, where a person who is giving or getting acupuncture or pressure is working upon. The whole study of all the variations within the etheric is a fascinating study.

When our physical body dies and our consciousness of our mind and emotions move on -- sometimes the etheric shell can live on in a semi-intelligent state which are seen or perceived as Ghosts repeating the same movements or actions again and again. Many times they reside in graveyards, or places which were left with a strong emotional or mental energy connection to person who has passed. They are not the full consciousness of person,,, just remnants or left over shell.

This is one of reason many esoteric spiritual schools recommend cremation as the most natural beneficial way to to go after we leave this physical earth.. It destroys the physical and the etheric body shell.

I loved your dream of the wolf Kaz, a true test it surely was.

Everybody no matter who they are travels out of body and visits the astral realms when in deep sleep, always. Many times from our journeys our mind will create dreams and on awakening, one will think they had a dream or a nightmare and nothing more. But little do they know of where their dream originated from. Though not all dreams are worthy of any thought as most dreams are accumulated rubbish stored away in the subconscious part of the mind, and at some point must be released which does come out in a dream. When this occurs we will usually find that our dream is all mixed up where it doesn’t make sense.

But then there are the real dreams given by spirit for a reason or for a specific purpose. When these dreams (or rather they are meetings) are given, they stay with us in a way where we know they do have a deep significant meaning, so we seek help in finding the answer to them.

In the astral we will witness things of a good nature and a bad one. There one will see entities of all kinds even ones looking like devils with horns, and many times fear will grip that person bringing them back to full consciousness. But you cannot be harmed in anyway, because as soon as fear overtakes you, instantly you are brought back to your body at the speed of thought. The entities there can change shape at will to fool you in believing they are someone – or something that they are not. Its only when you start to become more aware of your journeys, that you then have more control and better understanding of things beyond the earth plane of existence.

I mention this not from book knowledge but from experience.

I totally agree with you Wayne about the journeys we go on, in the astral plane. You wake up and every detail seems crystal clear. Rather then having to struggle to recall or hold on to it. I've heard it said that trying to remember a dream sometimes for some people, is like trying to hold on to a handful of sand. No matter how hard you try, it slips through your fingers.

I have had dreams when I have been in halls of learning, classrooms. I've travelled to far away places, and flown over jungle canopies and taken part in some strange rituals. Sometimes I wonder if they are past life memories. I've been given energy attunements in dreams and had the most vivid healing experience in a dream. I had been suffering for over a month with a recurrent sinus problem and terrible vertigo. Every time I stood up or lifted my head from the pillow, I would be overcome with giddiness. It would also happen suddenly when I was out shopping. It got so bad, I was afraid to go anywhere, or even to go to sleep. Because I was so terribly dizzy on waking.

One day, I was so exhausted I lay down on my bed in the daytime and went to sleep. I had the most vivid dream. I found myself in this long open plan room. It was surrounded by large windows, looking out into a blue sky, with some clouds. So it felt very high. When I looked around I could see rows of beds, with people either lying or sitting on them. Beside each bed was a man and a women wearing white coats. I was lying on my bed, and noticed a tube had been attached to my side. It fed into a big glass bottle by the side of the bed. I noticed out of me and into the tube was flowing a green coloured liqued. As the bottle started to fill up, I started to feel very light. Slowly I started to rise up off the bed, and as the bottle was near to full, I was literally floating up in the air, still attached to this tube.

Suddenly, I felt afraid, and came awake. But as I came awake in my bed at home, I felt as if I'd landed on the bed with a jarring bump. As if dropping from quite high up. I can tell you I lay there with my heart pounding for a few minutes until I calmed down. I felt as if I had literally been somewhere else, out of my body. From that moment on, I felt so much better. The dizziness was immediately better, and within a week, I was back to my old self. I'd had three lots of antibiotics and they had not helped me at all. In fact, they had made me feel worse in some respects. Very nauseaus, prone to water infections etc. So for me, I truly believed that whatever happened to me was a healing, somewhere on the astral plane. Though it was many years ago, that dream is still as vivid to me today as it was then.

To cut the long story short & sensible : Demons and Ghosts, they live in stories and psyche.

There existence of surety depends on how we interpret them by our own.

First of all, the basics of spirituality is to accept/realize/experience/trust that you are not this physical body, but a soul. And you (the soul) is living under the shadow of the physical structure. Rather, making it complicate and to understanding this whole phenomena.

Just say within yourself "I am a Pure Soul, not this body"

The sooner we accept, the better it will be for everyone to live in the materialistic world as well.

They are just like the way, we get into the dreams and either picture the beauty of nature, or sometime getting murdered by the family person itself, etc....blah...blah...

Let's say, even if there existence is being recorded/captured by some scientific metals. So, what...They are just spirits and nothing more than that. Who are wandering here and there in search of a body to get birth again. And, nothing more than that at all..

No Doubt, they have some super-natural powers then the humans. But, ultimately its for no use.

You already have that key of Gold mine, i.e. called Spirituality.

To know the truth, you have to first clear the whole stuff from your mind. It can not understand from this brain at all.

You have made some good points about leading a spiritual life in general and I respect your point of view; But, Your views on spirits I do not share. Spirit are people just like you and me who have passed on. I do not believe they hang around simply to try and get in another persons body or to be reborn. I believe Spirit dwell for the most part in the spirit world. That they carry on learning and evolving. They make a decision at some point to be reborn simply to carry on the spiritual evolution of growth, drawing closer to God's image of pure love, light and awareness.

Try to keep an open mind to the beliefs of others my friend, rather then dismissing them out of hand. There are many people who have experienced spirit encounters, healing experiences in a profound and positive way. To dismiss it as being pure fantasy is narrow minded. Simply because you have not experienced this for yourself, does not negate the experiences of others, or mean it has not happened. Non of us can say with any certainty that we know all their is to know about the spiritual experience, can we!

I completely agree with the point of yours about the existence of Spirits (good/bad). Yes, there is no doubt in there process of re-births; according to the law of karma & its consequences.

As you yourself have mentioned the same thing about there presence and ours is nothing different at all.
But the point of having the authority in there own hands to reborn or not, I am sorry I don't agree with you on this point my friend. It's not in the hands of the spirit; for how long do they want to stay anywhere; according to there own choice. That's totally corresponds to the individuals/spirits own karma's that took him/her to a certain level.

The question is not really what to contradict with anybody's opinion on this matter.
Rather, it's a great place to share our own knowledge and experiences, without hurting there feelings in any manner.

Example:

Like, In Reiki there are different levels of progress, according to the learners own capability & thirst of learning the healing techniques to grow further in that.

So, same as in Spirituality the sub-conscious stage requires less physcial effort and more meditational/concentrational way to sense the depth of every small particle in life. I know, this is something too spiritual to mention over here right now. But, if something that can be done for the human kind, then that will be only and only the individuals progress in the spiritual journey.

My intention was not to harm anybody's emotions related to that thing especially. It's just that I want my brothers and sisters, not to just fall under the umbrella of this supernatural land & acknowledge there real root of energy - named as GOD

I believe in ghosts and demons. They are not the same. One has always been in the spiritual world. The other has experienced both physical and spiritual world.



Ghosts
The ghost is the "trapped" entity. When we die, we are given a choice. We are to go to the Light or not. It is up to the soul whether he/she feels they need to go to the Light at the time. Some go with no problem. Others may take longer and they end up getting stuck on the astral plane. Most are learning how to cross over but for some reason others rebel. They are not happy with God for taking them from the Earth. They hold resentment on others trying to "scare" people because they have essentially become a ghost. When you open up to ghosts, the demon finds a way in. Demons lie to you and the ghost and cause all sorts of chaos. This is why God warns us about communicating with the dead. Its simply too stressful and it is no longer our focus.



Demons
Demons have always been there to tempt us. In fact, demons are probably the only reason anyone would turn against God, especially at time of physical death. Demons are very real. They have access to taunt, lie, and manipulate us into thinking that God doesn't love or care about us. God will always love us. He wants you to know that demons are liars and copycats. They feed off your emotions and try to convince you that God doesn't exist. Sometimes they convince people that their situation is somehow God's fault and this was God's plan the whole time. Not at all true. Demons can weaken the soul and if you don't ask God for help you can get into real trouble.



Either way, don't listen to either of them. Both are there to hurt you, not help you. They may seem like they need help but you cannot see everything in the spiritual world. You could spend all day talking to entities and not really getting anything out of them. They could be lying the whole time and there really is no way to find truth. Honestly, its a waste of time. It is important to rely on what you know in your heart. You must keep your intentions clear. You are to learn from your mistakes and better yourself. Nothing can get past faith you have in God with good intentions.

I do not believe a Ghost or Spirit, as I prefer to call them are 'trapped entities'. I certainly do not believe they are unhappy with God at having 'taken' them from the earth. Spirit are simply people just like you and me who have come to the end of their earthly physical life. Most of the spiritual experiences we have when we see spirit, I believe are more a memory of that person, that sensitives can pick up on, the vibrations of a place, rather then actual visitations in present time.

Visitations, are incidences when a loved one or spirit person feeling a attachment or fondness of a person or a place come back to pay a visit. They can come and go as they please, it is not a matter of being trapped somewhere. There are of course spirit who for some reason choose to stay near us on the physical plane. It may be that they have some unfinished business and wish to pass on a message so that they can find peace. It may be that they died very suddenly, and are unaware that they are not with us anymore. Though I believe this is rarer then people think. Most of us I think would know something was not right, that we had died, when those we tried to interact with, for the most part could not see or hear us. Some poor souls pass into the spirit world at a time when they are not in their right minds. A trauma, or emotional/mental illness affecting their ability to see the truth of their situation. But even in these instances, I do not believe they are abandoned here.

I believe that spirit helpers watch over them, and take every opportunity to lovingly and gently try and help these souls, see that their time on the physical plane has ended. Not only helpers in spirit, but I also believe, that living people have the gift of helping others into the light. Those mediums and psychics who see their role as serving both the living in giving proof of life after death, and helping the deceased to understand the reality of their situation. There are also people who do this special task while they are sleeping. This is often referred to as Soul rescue.

These are my thoughts and opinions on this subject and I do not disrespect what others believe, but I also believe it is important to present things from more then one point of view.

"Ghosts" are NOT malevolent by their very existence. Most are simply "people" who got stuck here as a result of being over- focused on physical appetites (i.e. addictions), or guilt (feeling unworthy of the Light), or focused upon something else when the Light opens up for them and basically not seeing it.

When people die, they still have the same personalities they did only seconds before. Death doesn't turn them into some kind of "monster". Until they cross over into the Light, they remain pretty much the same as they were when alive. So crossing over is an essential part of the journey of progression. Once there, the life review and cleansing take place, and the fundamental "re-set", for lack of a better way to say it, happens, so that they are preparing to return again via another cycle of rebirth- which, as a rule, doesn't happen until the people they incarnated with cross over as well.

Yes, there are "bad" ghosts. They were "bad" when alive and they don't lose that until they go to the Light and all that happens after that. But just like the vast, vast majority of people are "good", so it is for ghosts as well.

In my opinion, the reason why the Bible (and presumably other texts) warns about interaction with discarnate entities, is because they can become attached to us if we are not careful in dealing with them. But they can also form attachments with people who are in the wrong place at the wrong time- such as a battlefield, hospital, etc. And for that reason, it's important to focus on NOT grieving to the point that you "wish they were here". Because in forming such intense desires, you can become an unwitting magnet for the person and actually hinder their spiritual progress as a result by becoming a conduit of sorts for them to become "earth bound" (attached to you).

"Imprints" are mistaken for ghosts. They're basically the result of intense and / or repetitive energy in one location- sort of like a hologram. There's no real thought or consciousness there.

Yes, there are Demonics and "dark entities". They thrive on chaos. For the most part, most are lost and have been recruited by a Demonic hierarchy via indoctrination into accepting certain fundamental beliefs, all of which are lies. The 3 most crucial are:

1.) They are not eternal beings and therefore can be killed.
2.) They have no Light in their own beingness
3.) The Light will injure or kill them

Dealing with dark entities is a lot like dealing with discarnate entities in general. They can be communicated with and presented with logic. And once they realize that they do have Light in them, the lies that they have been indoctrinated into begin to unravel. And once unraveled, they almost always choose the Light. However, some do know and don't care. (It's rare, but some, even when they feel the warmth and unconditional love of the Light, still reject it. Typically, this is because they feel such guilt that they can't accept the idea that they're still forgivable by Grace, while others, have become so twisted over time, that they're addicted to power.)

Actual Demonics are not as common as some people suspect. But they do exist. And they are usually behind the scenes in command positions, doing what they can to create chaos, convince people (and subsequently, discarnate, disoriented souls) that they (the people / souls) are beyond forgiveness in various ways, so that they can be "recruited" and made to be "dark" as a result.

Even so, some actual Demonics can and do choose the light when given the opportunity. And it's a beautiful thing when they do. Because they typically bring others who were once under their command, with them.

The above is not theory read from a book or surmised. It is from my personal and direct experience working with people who have various kinds of spirit attachments. I trained with Dr. William Baldwin and Rev. Judith Baldwin in a process known as "SRT" (Spirit Releasement Therapy"), as well as "PLT" ("Past Life Therapy") several years ago and have found what they taught to be absolutely true.

There is a clear distinction between demons and ghosts/spirits....demons are not of this dimension or energy they are entities exsisting outside the energy planes associated with our earth and spirit identity. Unfortunately the ignorance of people playing around with energy they dont undestand opens up gateways if you like which invite them in to this dimension, those higher connected spirit beings that are akin to our earth and spirit plane are forever closing these gateways to prevent their entry. However once here they prey on the vunerable tormenting minds driving them to act out the darkness.

Ghosts are imprinted images on energy in places that repeat the same thing for example walking through a wall at the same time each night its like a vidoe tape looped just playing over.

Spirits are just us without bodies some choose to go over some choose to stay close to the earth plane and attach themselves to people and places as the material energy of this world gives them comfort but eventually they are persuaded that better things wait for them in the spirit world.

Some refuse to pass and stay on the low energy plane creating mischief and playing with energy this plane is always watched by those in spirit and when they see the light of ones spirit start to shine through the fog like energy they know that one who refuse to pass has had enough and wants to contimue the journey so they will lower their vibration to collect the spirit and take them to the light.

One golden rule is be aware of what your doing when it comes to thought and energy trust your senses never invite the uninvited into your life.

I believe in ghosts from having worked with them for 30 years, demons, no. Since I am a physical medium and one who ushers the dead, I do have some small experience. There are different kinds of hauntings for example...intelligent hauntings and residual hauntings are two that come to mind.

If for some reason you need to have a "demon" in your life you will create one, be it physical or non physical. As I said I have been doing this for 30 years and have also used a quiji board a lot. I must be doing it wrong cause I have never met a demon but since I don't believe in that stuff, maybe that's the reason. Most guides are projections of self anyway, so perhaps your demons are projections of your own shadow self that you have not dealt with?

There are not Guardian angels. Angels exist outside of judgment, so what would they need to guard you from? I let go of all organized religion when I realized that they limit god. They define god, they put her in a box, i.e., this is god this is not. I am not qualified to limit God. God is EVERYthing/NOthing. There is NOthing that is not God. God is outside of judgment and God ALLOWS ALL THINGS TO BE. That is what I call uncondional love.

Those that I usher "into the light", which is a reflection of their own soul, are mostly unaware that they have passed on. A clue: they don't see the light because they are so fixated on the physical, like a horse with blinders on.

In my experience, demons are neither good nor bad. They can be used to learn humans lessons.
Your Higher Self is infinitely more powerful then demons. Think of demons as pets that are neutral.

Yes, they can be a torture on the minds of men for decades, but in the light of the Higher Self, they
are merely an amusement, or a little critters. This is my experience.

When you go to a Higher Vibration (to enlightenment) there is freedom from fear in all its forms,
free from fear of demons included.

I believe demons have a purpose (though I wish they didnt exist personally) but what is, is.
