Spirituality is that process of opening the eyes and accept/experience the GODs love of things/creations within us. Living in the dreams is as equal as living in the world; if the name of GOD is not there with you.

It is very true, before realizing the existence of God and self it was like being stuck in fog. I had always known it too but it was like the mental functioning needed to truly understand it had a wall blocking from further progress. I knew I had came to an incredible realization when prejudice and ill perceptions dissolved. I work in a jail facility where there's the constant us against them mentality. And since opening my eyes to the true nature of everything my ability to communicate and understand has increased ten fold. Before anger arose first when confronted with dangerous or aggravating situations between inmates, but now compassion and understanding arises.

I used to define things a positives an negatives, or good and bad. A conversation I had recently with some friends brought me around to seeing such things as merely experience.
Positive and Negative tends to be relative solely to an individual and how they feel in that moment, and also a positive can become a negative with later realising or reflecting.
Though if I stopped defining things as positive or negative, or good and bad then I wasn't limiting my immediate attitude to prior attitudes. Instead freed myself somewhat to other expressions and attitudes, loosing the mind anticipating it should be reacting in a certain way. I think the aim is to find more freedom with how we can be ourselves, but also I think its nice to have an idea of what works and what doesn't.
The above are just a thing that I came to understand which I think is similar to your experiences. Compassion and understanding are the greatest things yet, happiness can heal so much, and friendship can build bridges. No one but the people your responsible for can limit that, but over time they could come to see you as a person rather then a guard, I guess I don't fully understand working for a prison. Its a brilliant thing to hear that you find such a good feeling of being able to understand the people your responsible for.

I dislike politics, especially in a spiritual place, but lets face it: if more things in this world were judged by their performance rather a lot would not be allowed to be. There is a reason for everything; but not necessarily a good reason. There is no end to the number of persons willing to convince you of things; odd but true there is a perpetual shortage of seeing and hearing to the extent you know all that works and functions well.
I'd do it myself but I'm tired and it is time for my nap. Zzzzzzzzz. When I awaken it will be the exact same world. Not better nor worse. Feeling refreshed I can go on untill the next nap. There might be a hidden meaning there. Wake me if there is. Unless I am sleeping peacefully.

Things are neither good nor bad. Circumstances are neither positive nor negative.
God is someone who neither loves nor hates. He don't have a friend nor an enemy. He is beyond from the psychology of He & She.
For e.g.
If there are 10 people standing. And, I say "These 5 people out of those 10 are only my friends". Now, here I have already make a statement by saying that "The other five are not my friends/loosers/xyz...."
But, that's not true. Its just my perception of viewing the things. So, does it mark a stamp to the rest 5 that they are good for nothing.
The answer is NO.
Same like, we need to grow our branches by accepting/facing the situations, the way they come in our life. No matter, they are good/bad!
Get into deeper meditation & control your mind.
Always remember that there is no technique by saying that I am doing meditation. Meditation itself begins only after the concentration.
God Bless you all.

It is difficult not to get drawn into making judgements about people, or not using previous experiences to colour the way in which we view the world. Its natural and in a way it is how we survive in the world, without being constantly duped or hurt. For me the biggest lesson has been learning more about myself. It really is true I think, that the more you understand yourself the more you will understand other people.
By being aware that the face we present to the world, is not always a true representation of us as people, means you will look beyond the surface of others. So not making snap decisions about someone becomes more natural, we become more tolerant and compassionate, more forgiving.
I think as we get older we probably become more naturally spiritually aware. The mind is not so frenetic, spiritual ideals and having a more philosophical attitude to life grows. We slow down, we take time to appreciate our lives more, especially those we care about. Yes, I would say growing spiritually is about realising whats important. We are constantly growing and learning.
