Is there a way to protect oneself from anxiety- if someone makes one feel anxious?
At the moment, it is difficult to say a prayer and listen to what someone is saying at the same time if they making direct eye contact. So, how can one instantly feel less anxious around someone?

Hi Rubie, I am sorry to hear that you have been feeling so anxious.
A way to help resolve the problem of being unable to pray for protection when in the presence of the one who makes you anxious, is to get into the regular habit of saying a protective prayer when you go to bed at night and when you wake up in the morning. The affect of it will stay with you throughout the day.
You can also use a simple visualisation to protect yourself, your energy. I like to imagine myself enclosed in a white or gold bubble of light. I then visualise it hardening like an egg. Its called an Auric egg. Again you can do this at the beginning of each day.
The above suggestions are there to help you feel safe and protected, but I think it is important to look at the reasons why you are feeling so anxious. Be it in the presence of someone in particular, or if you are feeling anxious in general. If you want to share here, then that is fine and if we can help we will. But also consider confiding in someone you trust and respect. Be it a family member or friend, or even your GP. There is a lot of help available for anxiety, so please don't suffer in silence.
Love and light Kaz

Remember Rubie, you give them that power. If you see them as less as a threat, their power diminishes. People only have power over you if you allow it. You have to learn to see things differently. You are in command of your own destiny, no one else.
