I feel like I'm able to discern the bigger things in life but not always the little things. I wonder sometimes if little things I see or read are real or if theyre a manifestation of my fears? I often wonder what discernment is especially if you don't have the bible or a holy book as a guide?

Hi Clara, I believe we all have inside us a moral compass. As you say in life, the big things are pretty obvious. Its the smaller things, which are harder to gauge. There have been many times I have gone against my instincts, my intuition about something. I ignored the red flag that I saw and carried on. Looking back, I knew it wasn't right. But I chose to do it anyway. By going forward, I took the responsibility upon myself for how things turned out. We cannot blame other people, its always our choice. We all know the difference between right and wrong. I don't believe we need a holy book to tell us that. I am a great believer, in things happening for a reason and that we can learn something important from what happens. How to tell the difference between imagination and intuition. In my opinion, they are the same. Because without your imagination to work with, your intuition could not manifest itself to you, could it! Though I would say, that it is the strength of the accompanying emotion or feeling that comes with it, that tells you the difference between a day dream what if scenario, to a real warning or precognition about a situation. Just my thoughts on this. Love and light Kaz

HI Clara,
Interesting question.. about intuition and imagination and discernment. I think we have within us different levels of consciousness and where a person is aligned with may change our discernment at times.
Sometimes our imagination can be linked to our personal and ego desires...we can get astral intuitions when we are so aligned. And some intuitions from that level may be OK.. some may be not that great or just temporary.
But I also believe that Intuition can also come from Higher within, from our Higher Self or Soul consciousness... or also at times from the level of the Spirit Within. I think our Imagination also works at these different levels also. As we meditate and learn to integrate more.. our lower intuition more and more is aligned to the higher Intuition. We slowly start to realize the different between that lower and higher intuitions within and our ability to discern becomes a more useful spiritual tool.
just my take on question. Peace

Is it a natural fear? in which case you will be fine because it's your primal fear helping you.
Is it a bad fear? in which case you have to figure out what your fear is and see if it can be overcome.
Fear is simple and easy to figure out.
Fear is usually based on being safe or not. Will I be hurt? Do I have to give something up?

Maybe you should see these small problems differently Clara, maybe you should look at them in a new light, a better light. Stand back from the problems, they are not your enemy, they look bigger and uglier when you see them as a fear or the enemy. See them for exactly what they are, just stepping stones to greater understanding.
While you see them as a negative in your life, you will never learn, see them as messengers of wisdom. See that beneath each fear lies an understanding that is just waiting to be understood.
