In Islam the end of the world is described as " Youm El 7essab"-judgement day- there are Major and Minor signs for that promised day. Time ? not mentioned . The judgement day will start when an angel calls all (humans) alive to die , and then calls all souls to rise all souls from all humans ever lived to rise and remain standing on Earth.
Then the Sun will keep approaching to Earth until it is one meter above the souls heads . It would be the hottest day Earth witnesses . While people wait in the dry hot environment , believers will be protected from the sun by a shed and others won't , and the believers who lived their lives doing good and kindness ,and followed the rules their souls will not wait for their turns angels will take them up high the seven skies to meet their judgement as they are " The guests of Allah."
Over the seven skies a path lies up there to meet Allah or in other words a bridge. This bridge is thinner ten times than one of you Hair cells , perhaps even thinner. Underneath this bridge fire more black than black itself , living in it devils . The soul is then asked to pass over that bridge some people devils will pull them down and fall, some will walk slowly and the thin bridge will keep cutting through their feet, and some will pass really fast to the other stage.
After people pass the thin bridge another waiting is asked, but this time in front of Allah. Souls will be naked , thirsty, and tired from all this long journey facing down respecting Allah's greatness and his powerful light. It is believed that non-believers will not see him nor his light -as he is disgraced of them. Here comes a great role for "Iblees"- the Devil- he will pass by all the souls carrying a cup of water and asking everyone to drink from it. Who drinks is then thrown to hell.
At last The souls are then to speak with Allah , one by one.The believers who lived their lives doing good and kindness, are covered with a invisible sheet ( which will prevent others [all humans] from hearing what wrong has he/she done ) . He will then ask many questions the most important one is " How did you treat your parents?"At that day you will not answer these questions, but it's your organs ( eyes,tongue,fingers,legs) each will say what they've done and witnessed
After this , the soul is handed the book of judgement , if the soul is handed the book to it's right hand , then it goes straight to heaven according to how much difference between good deeds and bad ones (great difference= highest rank of heaven, small difference=lowest rank of heaven), and if it is handed to the souls left hand then it is hell.
