The Qur'an forbids images of any kind to be made of Allah, Muhammed or all other prophets, or indeed of any person or animal. This is partly because the worship of images is forbidden in Islam, and partly because no artistic representation could possibly be good enough to reflect adequately the magnificence of Allah's creation. For these reasons, Islamic artists have concentrated on developing beatiful geometric patterns ,and because writting is so important especially in the Qur'an Islamic artists continued their artistic view not by just writing but by drawing the words .

Beautiful Mazen.. I was reading a book recently about the life of the prophet Muhammad, and it went on to talk about how man had begun worshiping idols and through this had drifted away from Allah/God, who is a living embodiment, not a wooden or inanimate object that in itself is empty.
