I have been having a recurrent dream for about 2 months now which just isn't resolving itself.
I will firstly admit I have strong feelings towards a close friend of mine who I would like to go further with, but due to his own issues at the moment there isn't a chance of that at this time so maybe that has something to do with it.
Simply put I am having recurrent dreams about starting a relationship with this man, I can see the place where it starts, even see what we are both wearing and remember pretty much what is said, the only thing I cannot identify is the time.
Normally in dreams I hear other peoples voices in my own voice, but in this one his voice is clearly his own and I can almost physically feel myself touching his hand, in fact on one occassion I swear I could feel him holding my hand.
He isn't the type of man I would normally be attracted to, but with him for some reason I am and have been for a while, so perhaps that is playing a big part in this dream. All I know at the moment is that I'm having this dream at least 4 times a week at the moment and it always plays out in the same way.
thanks for listening, hopefully some of you may be able to shed some light on this.

Hi Nikki, Welcome to the dream board. Dreams are multi faceted, and can be influenced by a variety of different things. The people we see, the books we read, the films we watch, as well as information we unconsciously pick up throughout the day. On top of this add, any worries we might have. All these things can come out in our dreamscape. You say that the man in your dream, is someone you are attracted to in your waking life. So to see a man in our dreams, represents our ideal. Someone who embodies qualities and traits we admire. Dream characters, are also symbolic of the different qualities that make up our own personna, our own personality or nature that we see reflected in others, that need working on. So dream characters can reflect the positive and negative. What we yearn for in our waking life, can in our dreams be given form and substance. So on one level, this dream is a kind of wish fulfillment dream. You want to be with this man and though you are not in your waking time, you can be in your dreams. On another level, a male in our dreams is also representative of our own masculine energy. We all embody male and female energies and often a male can appear as a dream symbol, when your higher self or unconscious mind, is trying to tell you, that you need to integrate your male and female sides. So as a women, maybe in your waking life, you could do with being a little bit more assertive, be more decisive, to be more goal orientated. All predominately male qualities. Do you see where I am going with this? Only you know which of these scenario's might apply to you, or maybe both do. There are also dreams where we experience astral travel. Which is when we sleep, it is believed that the energetic body of the dreamer, also knows as the astral body, goes traveling. Everyone has the ability to do this. It may be that the attraction you feel for your friend is reciprocated, and that he too dreams of you. When two people are strongly attracted to each other, it can create a psychic link. When you are both sleeping, it may be that you interact with each other. You say the things that you are both feeling, in honesty and without feelings of self consciousness. Because in a energetic state, we connect with the heart, not the mind which is influenced by the ego. The ego, is what holds all the feelings of insecurity and self doubt. When we connect from the heart, there is no attempt at pretense simply a need and a desire to speak the truth. Are you the kind of person who spends too much time over analyzing something, thinking of reasons why not to do something rather then why not? I would say this dream is showing you your true feelings and maybe trying to give you a healthy nudge in the right direction. Recurrent dreams often hold an important message for the dreamer, often connected to something that is praying on their mind. A problem, a worry or a dilemma. Dreams can be a rich source of guidance and inspiration. When we sleep the conscious mind releases its grip, and in this dream state, it is quite common for people to see solutions, or a situation with more clarity. The dreams tend to keep recurring, until you finally 'wake up' and get what your higher self, your true self is trying to tell you. This is only my interpretation of your dream Nikki, please only take from it that which is meaningful to you and simply leave the rest. I would appreciate your feedback. Love and light Kaz

Sorry for the late reply. Life has been a bit much lately.
Yes I am still getting the dream and yes I certinally have an attraction towards him which he now knows about but isn't recriprocating to the point where he is now 'seeing how it goes' with a woman he met three weeks ago and who only broke up from her husband 7 days ago. Understandably I'm worried he will get hurt badly.
Even with a supposed 'resolution' am still getting the dream even after him saying he 'doesn't see me in that way'
At the moment I don't know what is going to stop this dream
