God is many different things to many different people. I've heard a lot of people say God is love... well is that it, what about everything else? If God created everything then didn't everything the good, the bad and the ugly come from God?
To me personally God is something beyond my ability to comprehend, something beyond my imagination and level of understanding, I simply call it the creative force?
However there's a great deal of things I can understand, I have eyes to see and ears to hear and the world we live in is all very subjective and arbitrary. A lot depends on your culture your customs how you were raised and your religious or spiritual upbringing and your individual beliefs. At the end of the day everybody is a congregation of one.
I also have an inner voice and feelings, call it a sixth sense if you will, call it intuition. I don't know exactly what it is but intuitively I sense it, it's all around us, it's much bigger than we are, I know it's there, I just know, I guess you can call that faith?

I still blow some people's minds by suggesting if there is only one G*d then Satan must be also be part and parcel to it all. But not as a competing god since we only allow One. That can have dire connotations to some.
On the other hand to say G*d can do anything doesn't work either. It over looks G*d apparently can not denouce or contradict Himself ( or Herself) but His (or Her) creation can and does. Well if Devine intervention doesn't do us in our beloved system can keep us in check via it's many rules and laws.
I am beginning to understand the Cosmos has a very precise way of existing as an interlocking puzzle. And yet it's best and brightest still have free will to do what ever it wants to. The two are contradictory. It would have been easier if I had been born a Cuisnard but then kitchen appliances wouldn't be able to type stuff like this.
I still think everything in the Cosmos has a price and nothing is free and that is what defines G*d. But the price is also worth it invariably and mayby that is what we mean when we say "G*d is love".

God is definatly much bigger than the mind brother. Just think about the dualistic nature of our reality. By looking at free will we can see that we have our own choices to make in life. Either contructive choices or destructive choices. Ones that are aligned with God's will or satan's will. Hence "you cannot serve two masters". God has another polarity and that is the dark side. Love is a perfect example of this. Love for others first or love of thyself first. By placing others before us, it keeps us humble and compassionate. Love of thyself first is destructive too because then everyone would eventually only be interested in themselves and all relationships would be superficial... Our light must control our dark side or ego. The male force of life. So we know when to say no and stand up for the things that we know are wrong. And to prevent our love from being an enabler. It's like the yin and yang. The dark over powering the light with the dark side and the small white spec. We come into balance when our light can control our darkness with the light surrounding the black speck. |

Dear RT, I really liked what you said. I also agree with what you have said and am in the same boat so to speak. I enjoyed it so much I quickly meditated on your question and I also got a simple but beautiful reply...I asked: What is God? The reply: "I am the light that shines within your soul" Now some may call it my own inner or higher voice, others may say it was my imagination...but what I heard was gently and so softly spoken to me yet made me feel warm inside and like I was being embraced by those simple yet powerful few words. They made me smile and feel that come what may in this life I am not alone, for God is with me and within me every step of the way. Thank you RT for posting this and Thank you God. I rather like to think of God as incomprehensible, indefinable and beyond the limits of my conscious mind to define in any way - this really disgruntles my logic, but it reinforces my sense of being small, and on my knees in wonder, before a power and intelligence so mighty that I am a tiny speck - I love that feeling! The awe, the wonder!

God is someone in front of whom if i cry if i am sad then he sends someone to make me happy.i think he cares..
God is someone whose painting i make with all love and then tear when i am angry.. then he tries to cool me and deviate my mind in few other new things ... i think he do not mind ...
God gives me all food ... but i forget to say thanks to him ...i think he still feeds me..
God loves me ... i just think so ... that he exists... just a faith he is ...
