What an interesting dream.
In dream symbology, taking a shower represents 'emotional' cleansing. Washing away any negativity that is clinging to you. The emotional cleansing is a mix of your own and of those around you. As a caring nurturing person, you cannot help but absorb the emotional pain of others. Especially if there are those around you to whom you offer regular care and support.
As a natural empathic personality, you are like a sponge. The dream is showing you this and asking you to be aware of it. In sleep your unconscious mind is taking care of this for you. But it is also important I think for you in your waking state, to also use this visualization of washing away, when you take a shower or bath. It is something I do regularly.
The tiny mirror in your belly button. I loved the image of this. I often recommend as a way of protecting the aura and the especially vulnerable area of the solar plexus chakra, using the visualization of a mirror. The belly button seems to be the border between the solar plexus and the sacral chakra. It deflects any negativity that comes towards you. Especially the thoughts and feelings of those who either consciously or unconsciously are drawn to your positive light and will leech off your personal energy. These are known as psychic vampires. A scary term, but really just means those who will drain you.
To me seeing the liqued spilling out of your belly button once the little mirror is removed, is any excess negativity that has managed to get around your psychic barrier. If this had been a lucid dream, I would have been happy to see you putting that little mirror back. So I would ask you to visualise putting it being back in place.
On another level, it is also asking you to look at what the 'solar plexus' and 'sacral' chakras represent. It may be that work is needed to be done to either cleanse or balance them out.

Problems with this chakra arise when there are issues involving creativity and financial and sexual power. For example, concerns relating to childbirth and parenting, financial or sexual inadequacy, or repressed creativity.
The challenge of the sacral chakra is to interact consciously with others and allow the creative flow of life to guide and shape continual change in our lives.
The Solar Plexus Chakra: Colour Yellow - Organs & Physical Function - What physical aspects does this chakra govern? Abdomen, stomach, upper intestine, adrenal glands, middle spine, liver, gallbladder, spleen.
The solar plexus chakra represents our identity, or how we see and feel about ourselves. It is where your self-esteem, inner power and sense of responsibility originates.
Problems with this chakra arise from fear of our own identity or losing our identity. For example, the need to excessively control others or ourselves, inability to take responsibility for ourselves or others, criticism and judgment, poor decision-making ability, fear of failure, or feeling invisible or overlooked by others.
The challenge of this chakra is to develop your inner power by being honest and at peace with yourself.
In the dream you saw yourself wearing traditional Indian clothes. In our dreams, clothes, what we wear represents the roles we play, attitudes we have in life. If you are wearing costume of some kind or clothes that are completely different in time period or ethnicity, it may suggest a past life experience. Which may be connected to a lesson you are going through now in this life. Indian symbology is also connected to the teacher, higher self or guidance, within.
The colours of the sari are particularly beautiful and all are favourites of mine. Purple, violet & lavender are all representative of wisdom, knowledge and divine protection. Pink represents love.
A very beautiful dream Lorraine, for me it speaks of loving guidance and protection. From your higher self, or from a divine source. Either way, you are being guided and protected.
