Dream about college and a trip

Hello everyone,

I had a dream two nights ago where I was at my old college, but this version of the college was from a previous dream and not how the college looked in real life. I was roomates with a friend from high school and in the dream she thought I was a "loser" and would avould me whenever possible.

Later in the dream, my mother drove me and my family to Philadelphia for a trip. We walked through the streets and ate food. We stopped at a family restaurant where there was an older woman who was very nice. They played a lot of classic rock at this restaurant and they played a classic rock songwith a womans name in it. I dont know itf it was a real song, I think it was called "Julie" in the dream.

Then we went to a mall. In the dream I was aware of the ethnicities of the people in the malls and it was a mix of white, black and I think Hmong people or people from Burma and other parts of Southeast Asia. I know it seems trivial but I noticed it in the dream so I thought I should write it down.

I remember taking a lot of escalators. At one point,I had lost my bag, but after a little bit of searching I found it in a chair. Near the end of the trip to the mall. I was going to order from a pita restarant as they were almost closing, but my dad convinced me not to. I apologized to them for taking up their time, since they were ready to leave. Then me and my dad went to another shop in the mall and he bought the king size kit kat and hersheys and he gave some of the candy bars to the people in line, though I asked him to give the kit kat to me since I didnt get anything from the pita place. He said that I would never buy candy and give it to other people. I said, "I might but I'd never tell anyone about it." And that was th end of the dream.

I think a lot of what you said sounded pretty accurate. I've let go of a lot of the negative things I felt about myself, but a small part of me feels that because Im 25 and Im not where I think I need to be in life, that its a little embarrassing. But I think as I keep reminding myse;f of successful people who were "late bloomers" Im finding that its not as rare as I once thought.

I dont know anyone by the name of Julie. Now that I think of it there was someone in high school I knew named Julie. She didnt look like the woman in the dream nor did any aspects of her character seem similar.

The escalators were going both up and down. So yes I've found myself goign up and down in my life because of giving up to easily on things. This is something Im changing.
