The story I was going to give of a past life will have to wait a little longer, only because I had an urge to give this one first.
A traveller on foot came to a partially flooded river. The river was only a little higher than waist deep and with a little effort could easily be crossed. But still the traveller felt he had plenty of time on his side, so he thought to wait it out till next morning when it recedes.
When morning came the traveller was horrified to see the river was now impossible to cross, as it was now far too high. The only way for him to continue on with his journey was the long way around, and this would cause him great hardship as he now had to cross numerous mountains, gullies and ravines.
How regretful his mistake was (he kept thinking) - why did I leave it too late, if only I had crossed earlier. Now I've got to work much harder to reach my journey's end. If only I put in a little effort to cross instead of thinking I had all the time in the world.
The moral of this story depicts the journey of life. Never leave it too late for yourself to look into the things that really matters most in life. God gives us all Grace at certain points in life to further ourselves along the path. Don't miss the opportunity only because you felt no need and thought you have plenty of time.
The traveller had a very good opportunity to shorten his journey, but instead he sat idle until it was far too late. Now he must come back in another life to try yet again, and possibly work much harder at it.
As we progress we begin to see things with greater clarity, much like a person with amnesia who all at once starts to remember.
When we have reached the goal in life NOTHING than causes us any concern as we know WHO WE ARE, what life is all about, and WHO and WHAT GOD IS . In truth, there is nothing but God.
Throughout the years I have been very fortunate indeed in having many wonderful experiences from both sides of the veil. These experiences have helped me immensely to grow in spirituality. Now I am not boasting but only offering good advice for the serious seekers who are trying to elevate themselves in this life, and that is my only intention.
But then again, growth does NOT come easy as one MUST put in the hard-yards, the effort in other words, if ... we are wanting to reach our goal.
Like all things - if one wants to get ahead then one must strive to get there, you can’t sit idle. When we enter the path of Spiritualism and begin the journey towards God Realisation (the goal of life) … know that much aid and support is given us. The serious attempts we make to further our own evolution is clearly noticeable by those who are eager to help.
They know only too well of our struggles as they themselves went through the very same once. Who better to guide and help then those who have already travelled the path and reached the destination. So out of their love and compassion they offer help as best they can, and many times they go unnoticed.
One such person who gave me encouragement was an Indian yogi named Siddhiswarra …. this occurred back in 1999, and he was still living in the physical body at the time somewhere in India. He appeared before me while I was sitting in meditation…..after I spoke with him he then revealed (something of immaculate truth and beauty) - in which I keep to myself.
You see, when we are serious in wanting to progress we attract the attention of those who can help lighten our load, not just those who have passed on, but those great ones still living in the physical. They sacrifice themselves by remaining in the body out of love and compassion for us their brothers and sisters.
They offer us as much help necessary that does not interfere with our karma’s, or in other words, our higher learning.
Just their presence alone gives enormous help. This I have been told and have experienced on numerous occasions. When we sit in quietude (meditation) or even contemplation on God, the vibration they bring with them is enormously beneficial as it raises one to greater heights.
So I say this … never leave it too late to look into things that will benefit you when the end comes, because it could be just around the corner.
